Really enjoyed this in the arcades. The C64 brings some of that enjoyment with it, but something about the conversion just doesn't feel right. I can't put my finger on what it is, but this feels a bit more dull, boring, and unfinished.
Still fun though, but not as much as it could have been.

Could've been so much better. Add some more SFX, more variety to the levels and remove that ship that hovers over your head whittling down your health from level 2 onwards.

With more variety to the action and decent SFX, this could have been good. As it stands, it's not a bad game, merely rather dull.

The arcade original was made in 1988 but the C64 conversion was made in 1990.

You sure this was made in 1990?.. According to the loading screen(which isn't here) and SID tune, this is 1988.
