Another poor conversion of a mediocre arcade game. Bares little relationship to the game in the first place so you're left with a poor scrolling beat em up.

Very bad conversion, but to be fair it wasn't great on any other 8 or 16 bit systems. The game has little to do with the arcade; lots of things are missing or are overly simplified. While understandable, it makes the game extremely dull, especially if compared to other conversions such as Ninja Spirit. Unspectacular graphics (especially backgrounds), uninspired SID tune (and it's the same throughout the whole game), mediocre playability. The jumps are off, and the character seems to slide often like if there's wax on the ground and platforms. Collision detection is rough, with some enemies depleting all your energy as soon as they touch you. It's still bad even if you don't compare it to the arcade.

When I read the comments and look at the score, im left absolutly speechless.

Eighter I played a different game or no one commenting on it has played this in the last 15 years.

This game is a absolute mess.

1. ) Your given 6 lives to complete 7ish stages and you loose a life every 60 seconds as power ups dosnt drop nearly enough (i've played though the game 3 times and I've gotten a single powerup that gives you more time in a total of 21ish stages.

The time given is a bug, eighter you have to little of it by accident or they just forgot to write in the code that renews it stage by stage.

2. ) Enemy's will do damage to you every frame your hitbox'es are touching and you have no flashing invulnarability state in the game. Meaning every boss basicly runs into you and kills you by standing inside your hitbox if your unlucky. The boss'es are beatable if your lucky enough they decide not to run into you and stop moving right infront of you, it what apears to be at random. And certain enemys can kill you in a matter of 1-2 seconds again if your unlucky that they decide to take up permanent resident inside your hitbox.

3. ) Jumping is terrible.. There is nothing else to say.

The game is just terrible. Its horrible.

This is what KARNOV should have looked like - this looks and feels like a C64 game.

The Spectrum, ST/Amiga versions are pretty bad. Haven't played this but I imagine it's nothing compared to the arcade.

This was the first Computer game I ever played after the Telstar Ranger in '77.
Got it on the Atari 800xl and loved it.
Bought it on C64 also and later again on either megadrive or Snes, I don't remember but always loved it.
9/10

Good scroll, nice music with arcade jingles, detailed, colourful, small graphics, but playability isn't so good, you lose energy at every collision.

Excellent arcadish fighting game. Good graphics and sound and great playability make it impossible to stop when started...
