A very good, if overly difficult budget shooter with excellent graphics, decent sound and solid gameplay. Graphically its excellent with nice backgrounds and good sprites. Sound is standard stuff. It looks better than many full price games but the caveat is that there are only three levels which is a real shame.

It was nice to have seen this appear on the Commodore Format cover tape back in the 1990's. A real fast paced quality shoot 'em up with a medium-high difficulty rate. Very nice graphics and big enemies. I specially like the worm type of alien. It is a shame that this game has only three levels to play, but memory restrictions keeps this as a single file shooter - and one well worth playing. The game can get buggy at times, but it doesn't interfere with the gameplay. Superb title music also. Go on, blast some aliens.

Bought this on the strength of the Zzap! 64 review. It's well worth the 3 quid asking price and beats many full-price games; I. O. , Nemesis to name just two. Terrific gameplay and visuals make this a superb budget shooter. My Rating - 93%

Best graphics I have ever seen of the kind. Better than Armalyte. The sprites feel as the had been 3d prerendered. Tough as nails gameplay.

Below par shooter with standard GFX and sfx. It had the annoying "back to the start" when you died too which didn't help matters. It was only a couple of quid though so it's not all bad.

Incase anyone is interested, the title screen tune is a cover of 'Blind Youth' by The Human League.

Lovely SIR titlescreen! That snake is so cute I want to grab it by the tale and cuddle it - or swing it around (depending on it's state o'mind).

An average game, with no real strengths or flaws worth noting. There isn't much reason to play it at all.

Decent looking and playable side scrolling shooter. Not brilliant, but for three quid back in the day, it would have been fairly impressive.

What a waster... And it goes to show that IO was not just about being hard, but about gameplay at the highest level. This one is hard, but misses on the latter point.

Needlessly difficult. You find yourself spending more time dodging waves of bullets rather than shooting down the enemy.

I brought this after reading the Zzap! Review (silver medal etc) Apart from the title music, I thought it was shite.

The lovely graphics are obviously ripped/recycled from IO. Gameplay is lousy and monotonous.

Try IO for the real thing.

Horizonal shoot 'em ups were never my bag, but this one bucked the trend (along with Nemesis). For a budget title this game was the nuts. Playability wise it was close to genre-perfect; longevitywise it held your attention between arriving home from school and having your tea - and thats all we can ask for any game.

An excellent game and for the price at the time it was amazing value for money. A very smooth shoot-em up that outclassed many more expensive, higher profile games. This was easier than IO and Zynaps, but offered a reasonable challenge. Not too difficult to complete however.

Or I'm to old for that, or this game is awesome hard? :). I can't go thru firs level...

I've never tried the 64 version actually, but me and Digi cracked'n released the Amiga version... (which was bad as hell I recall !!!) Do you want to swap 64 wares ? Mail me [email protected]

This game is the biz!!! Sweet graphics, with full colour scrolling, multiplexed sprites, awesome music with sampled drums! This game brings back good memories.

Very reasonable blasting action with some nice graphics and average sound. Too short, though!

I remember this game being one of the best side scrolling shooters, and it also has very good graphics. When came out it was compared to the game IO, but IO was too hard.

There were do many shoot-em-ups on the C64, that one had to be really good to stand out of the crowd. This one isn't. It's not that it's awful or anything, but it has only 3 levels, and there's nothing really special about it. Guide the spaceship, shoot, shoot some more, yaaaawn...

One of my favourite blasters. Cool little program that has no pretentions and still packs a punch.
