Great game but better on Atari 800 this time, lots of nostalgic value on this one that affects my rating, Im usually not interested in modern games but this one made into a modern game should be very interesting, just keep its spirit alive in the remake.

Great game. Spent many hours exploring and crushing the natives... Feel bad about that these days. I was brutal. But hey, life is difficult and I needed my gold! This game should be in the top 20 games for the C64.

This game is among the top 10 Commodore 64 games. Hours of game play and exploring. The random world generator is nice for making new world maps to explore. Highly recommended 10/10 :commodore:

Many long nights lost to this game, struggling to reach the coast!

I played this game as a kid and put a ton of time in it - hours and hours. However, there really isn't much of a game here. The details are nice and I credit it to educating me about American colonialization, but the gameplay dies off quickly. I think I read somewhere that the Atari computer version had much more gameplay.... Still, I love this game and its one of the best for C64. Oddly, I think the shorter load times in emulation somehow detract from the original experience. Crossing the Atlantic takes time after all and should take some load time!

No other game come close to the amount of time I soent mapping worlds on Seven Cities. Back then (1984-85) I never bought any games - just copied them from friends. But recently I bought a mint copy of the C64 version to mount on the wall. Dani was an amazing programmer (think - Sid Meier, years earlier). Thank you for all of the fond memories! The Crown is Pleased!

Ah, the days before political correctness. You'll never see a game like this again. What pleasure it brought me subduing those Godless savages. But hey, they attacked first.

A+

Now this game was excellent, very good. I had several hours of fun with this game. A definite must play even now.

What a fantastic game this is. It really gives a sense of exploring a vast new world, stretching from one polar ice cap to the other.

The only thing that was frustrating is that it's nigh on impossible to keep on good terms with the natives, as they constantly scramble to impale themselves upon you for no apparent reason, then attack in retaliation.

I never could figure out why.

Truly and RTS game, when you had to avoid popping those natives on your spear! So many fond memories of this game.

What a game. And what a landscape to walk through. I played this game for months. Why does anybody need 3D games :-)

An overlooked gem. Unbelievable depth for an 8-bit title. Still enjoyable to this day.

A great, evocative, engrossing game -- that remains so today. Credit to Ozark and the late genius Dani Bunten, also the author of M. U. L. E. , arguably the greatest game designer ever (to whom The Sims was dedicated in 1998). 10/10: GET THIS GAME RIGHT <expletive> NOW.

A great game. It was the father of heart of africa, another good one. Strategy and adventure while exporing an entire continent!

Strange, I seem to recall a relatively recent PC game by the same title. Haven't seen the C64 version though.

This isn't a RTS game at all as stated above.. A RTS is Starcraft or Warcraft and this has nothing to do with those type of games. It's got a stategy element in that you have to manage your ships, men and gold, but it's more of just exploring and bartering bobbles for gold. That doesn't make this a bad game, in fact it is one of the best games created before the Nintendo was released. Well worth a looong look.

This is truly one of the GREATEST games ever developed before the PC. This games has it all, Action, Strategy, and a great story. The first RTS game of any importance.
