This one is the first fully working PAL version ever released, by me :-)
The original PAL version from 1988 released by OCEAN was corrupted, but the original NTSC disk version by OCEAN was working well too (of course without trainers).
The 6th level works fine (the fight with ED-209) so it makes no sense they made the 5th level "impossible" on purpose as there was another finished level to play. I guess they just made a mistake with the tape mastering or something which messed 7th level.
We played it for weeks but could not complete warehouse stage which we thought was due to a stupid time limit.
Years later I learn the developers didn't build the game any further thus due to deadlines they released an unfinished game with the time limit lowered to make it impossible to get past warehouse stage.
It's funny to me this happened but wish I got to finish the whole game.
5/10

The SFX mode are poor.
check out csdb.dk/ for some great C64 game cracks and info. Hope this helps all, all the best, HAPPY AND MERRY CHRISTMAS.
Very smart looking also (compare this to the mess that was Robocop 2)
Only gripe was that the enemies were coloured in a way that they blended too much in the background.
Level design is above average. Gameplay is very good although very difficult. Always baffled me why Robocop is near-indestructible in the films - yet in the game a few bullets could kill him!?
Regardless still a great game - shame about the bug on the last level though
Anyways I will give this awesome game a 8/10
I loved the music, though!
Anyway, I disagree with the review, it is harsh on the overall mark. I thought the graphics and gameplay were Ok (I would give it 6/10 overall) It was a bearable game to play, but I do agree it was damn hard. Oh, and I also loved the music when Robocop dies. Like the movie too.
Great Music, rubbish gameplay
Then I read why. The factory bug. I too got to that level but could not finish that level in time. I was stuck on it of years
the factory isn't possible in that timelimit but if you use the "walking thru the wall" bug. After the fight with the ED209 the gamegraphics crush complete. I've tryed many versions on the C64 and now the original tape image for vice. All versions have the same error.
Ace graphics and a memory of playing this at my cousins' house also give it a more cherished place in my heart that it should. But you have been warned (by everyone) that it's a bugger to play.
Music and some graphics aside - 'Robocrap'.
Difficult... Yes, but it was still playable. The interesting thing was, that after having played this for awile, I bout another C64 from a guy who had and AMIGA. When he loaded up Robocop on it all I could say was Daaaaaaam!
Still I'm gonna give 'ol Robo here a 7, mostly for the music...
Utter crap, avoid at all cost. 1/10
Can you help me get out of the warehouse please. I have played this game on and off for 8 years and cannot get out of the warehouse, Any help wuld be welcomed.
