Magnetic scrolls rocks! But this time you think what? What kind of game properly (when you win) ends with the character (known as "you";) gets killed???

All in all a classic with a lot of atmosphere. Loading times were surprisingly short and graphics are sweet. Anybody who owns the original should feel lucky 'cause of the goodies (check embit post) coming with it.

Nice graphics, play it if you don't mind whopping huge loading times!

Don't forget about the goodies that came along with the box! A beer coaster, an envelope full of information, a newspaper 'Independent Guardian' (and even another translated newspaper in my german version).. The atmosphere was pure magic and the parser was really one of the best imho! Never finished it though.. I was too young.. (sorry, I'm not giving that box away... )

Only after givin' yerself to the dogs, fishkid. Get a grip- it's a classic.
Anyone know where to get the original box and packaging as I can't play it without. It's my first time on this - I missed out first time round.

Excellent adventure in the tradition of advanced parser by Magnetic Scrolls. Haunting locations and bizarre characters. Not easy at all, but definetly entertaining. If we leave Level 9 games alone, there is no other better or equal example of text and graphics combination. The screenshot on this page doesn't give the idea, looks like someone stole the colours and reduced its resolution.
If you like text adventures, try all Magnetic Scrolls games. If you have no patience, you don't like text adventures. ;-)

The best - wossname - adventure game of all times. Some parts are really hard to master but the manual has lots of useful hints. It's 14 years since I completed this game but I still haven't seen a better one.

I like solving adventures. But this one is the pits. There really nothing to solves. Way over detailed in graphics and text =( and of course understand very little commands. Not to mention to slowness of the loading as every command the C64 games require all information straight from disk. Its so ugly to play that the more u come across it the more you'll would hate it! Give this game to the dogs!!
