Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road

What keys do you press to enable the cheats, on the trainer versions? Everything is set to "Off", without understanding how to change them to "Yes". Been pressing the O and Y keys, nothing happens.

Seriously over hyped and rated.. These cars seem to fly across the track, no control over them. Not impressed.

Never knew this was a coin-op till just reading the Zzap review! Anyhoo, there was a lot of fun hours of joystick twiddling here. The backgrounds put me in mind of BMX simulator too. Cool little racer.

Excellent game, a near perfect conversion of the arcade game, I spent many hours playing this on C64 back in the late 80s/90s. One of the best top down view racing games on the platform, much superior to supersprint or championship supersprint, for all the differences there are between the two of them.

I love birdseye-/isometric-view racers a lot and Super Off-Road is no exception. It's highly playable, looks very good, sound and f/x are great and it's addictive like crack. The only drawback is the upgrade system, the effects of better tires or more powerful engines should have been more noticeable. Other than that, it's a game I still come back to, guess that's saying something about its lastability. 9/10.

All versions were great, but the C64 was the version I played first! Great conversion in all respects and fun to play!

The C64 version is a very respectable 8-bit conversion of the arcade game! I can imagine SOR being a great challenge to port to the 8-bits, yet the developers managed it!

Along with Rally Speedway, this game shall be played a lot in the next gaming night with my mates!

This is a fun game on any format, except maybe the arcade original, ironically. The C64 version is as good as any of them, so it's a question of convenience really - the SNES one has a Geoff/Tim Follin soundtrack, though... Not sure about the other console versions.

One of my favourite games back then and still a fun game to play. Good fun as multiplayer but my friends never kept up with me. Once they swithced off TV being frustrated after they got game over. I kept on playing and when they turned the TV back on after few seconds I was still leading the race

Excellent conversion of a fun game!!!

I am aware that the programmers gave their best to make this the leader of the category "overhead racer without scrolling" on the Commie, but it doesn't rock as it ought to. I even prefer "Badlands" and "Grand Prix Simulator".

Despite it's flaws (hitting barriers and firing off down the road in the wrong direction), this is a cracking little game. I remember having a magazine covermount demo of it and playing that one level for ages. Download it and give it a few hours running.

Why is there no disk option for my personal collection on this? I know there was a disk release...

Lots a fun with quick controls and game action... If ya like overhead racers (like I do) you gotta try this little game !!

Awesome, but I have only ever played it in multiplayer. If you liked super sprint then you'd love this one.

Pretty and entertaining game with great tunes!
The controls is not perfect, you have to take some practice to learn it... And -without nitro- the game is become a "Minardi vs. Ferrari" chase... But if you not a lamer, you can enjoy the races(in 1, 2 or 3 player mode!)! IRONMAN S. O. R. ick-up derby! 8/10

Ugly game with a horrible control system. Whether you win or lose is almost entirely controlled by absolutely nothing at all.

Great game, indeed! Memories of broken beige joysticks galore... However... This game always had *ONE MAJOR FLAW! * It didn't matter how much you upgraded your little 4WD Sprite, all the other players did the same... So it was like: "What's the point?". Ah, yeah... Good times.

Yep. Quality game with great graphics.

Only glitch is sometimes you get bullied by the other cars, but that aside it's great fun!

Got this game one Christmas and played it until Easter. Excellent variation on the Super Sprint idea with the advantage of being able to upgrade about 4 aspects of your truck as well as gather huge sums of cash. I thought that this was the best multiplayer racer ont he C64 with up to 3 humans and the computer simultaneously. Download it and give it a blast.
