Well, the arcade wasn't that much of a game to start with and this conversion was rather lacklustre. Repetitive gameplay and level design; the whole game should have been remade to follow the movie-plot more closely and to offer a more varied style between levels. Technically it's not terrible and controls are ok, but the game just hadn't enough to offer and today it feels extremely outdated.

Thrilling box art and 1980s atmosphere!, and then you load it up.

As an arcade conversion, which in turn is a movie licence, this one could have been worse. Main problem is a lack of programmers' skills. Nevertheless, some of the film's atmosphere is captured fairly well. Interestingly, level design differs from the arcade original.

Not too good. It should be interesting, but it's not. I'm not quite sure why. The concept is trivial, I guess. Just keep whipping not to be touched by anything. The cart levels are also nothing special and boring. Quite nice graphics, quite awful sound. 4/10.

Somehow, the long loading times didn't bother me back then. The tape was maltreated a bit, and refused to load for some time. But when I did my famous "special tricks" to the tape, it began working! :D I was hooked to the game, but didn't make it too far. I didn't try so hard back then.

Pretty OK game IMO. :)

I remember ordering this from a mail order company and waited it with baited breath. I was a big Indy fan. Months passed and I had almost forgotten it when the postman finally delivered the game. With shaking hands I inserted the tape into the player and waited. And waited. And then waited for some more. When I finally got to play... Was I disappointed? I'm a fan but not of the blind kind who takes everything without questioning it. So I swallowed my disappointment and tried to get some entertainment out of it to compensate the price I paid and months I waited. When I loaded the game again after all these years it was still crap but now I found it has some moving charm to it. Oh well.

The idea is good, and it should be fun but it just didn't do anything for me. Worked hard to get to the cart section but it was too frustrating. Unrewarding games don't get played for long.

Yep, I made it to the bridge just once, and got my ass kicked! Stupid game, still makes me angry thinking about it.

This game is well done and quite fun to play, but the short action compared to the long loads makes it rather frustrating!

Never understood why indy was dressed all in white. All I ever wanted to do was to get to the mythic final bridge level, but I could only get to the temple twice, the third time just never happened. Anyone play the bridge?

The mine cart level was soooooo unplayable.

I was an owner of this game many years ago... I never liked it because I thought it was difficult

Slow, but playable version of the arcade game.

Major load time between the different gane segments.
