A good game. I can't remember if I played this on the Amiga or the C64, but I think it was the C64 as I remember long load times. Had some interesting stealth elements when trying to sneak around the sides of a building and not get spotted, also had some sniping elements, and of course the crashing through the windows on a zip rope and shooting the bad guys. Before Rainbow Six on the PC, there was Hostages on the C64!

Ugh, never mind. Memories aren't always so accurate. There is a good game here, the action is too choppy and it hasn't aged well.

I owned this on both the 64 and Amiga, but preferred the 64 version for some reason. It just seemed to play a tad smoother and the simpler graphics appealed to me more.

Good game, a predecessor to modern stealth and action adventure games. The Amiga version was slightly superior over this one IMO but that doesn't change the high playability and nice graphics of the C64 version. Takes a bit of time to get into but is worth the hassle. 7/10.

A real classic to me! Technically brilliant, entertaining and thrilling fun with a realistic setting. I played the Amiga version years after this one, so I didn't compare when I first played it, and to me it was a great one for the C 64!

Doubt that this game influenced Counterstrike...

I only played this game on my Amiga and it's a true classic one.

This game reminds me of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six games for the PC and XBox. It really is a lot of fun to play this game, and is quite a challenge. I love the "first person view" you get once you are in the building, running around trying to avoid the terrorists. What can I say, they didn't have powerful processors to work with back then.

Great Game (at least on the Amiga) ... But of course the graphics suffered a lot ...
but stil worth a try

Quite a nice game to play on the C64, kinda cheap conversion from the 16bit engines though. I liked the machine gun in the Amiga version over the pumpgun in the C64 version.

This game had an uncanny resemblance to the later (imensely popular) Counterstrike for the PC.

I agree to Stanley. This one wasn't bad at all.

Lead antiterorrist commando and rescue prisoners on embassy. Thrilling action and good music. Hostages is conversion from Amiga/Atari ST in fact.
