Well it's better than the Addams Family game from Ocean. A simple collect-em-up but made with some care and attention with interesting graphics and music. Gameplay is so so. Perfectly respectable for a budget game and the setting helps to differentiate it from all the cutesy platformers that were popular at the time.

Cool horror game with spooky music and nice graphics, even if they could have been more refined for 1992 standards; the concept is quite gruesome, playing as Igor and having to collect corpses for Dr. Frankenstein. It's basically a platform game, but the amount of enemies and traps make it quite difficult and there's a very annoying creature often preventing you from taking the easy route; also, a few jumps have to be pixel perfect and can be a tad unnerving. Fitting ending sequence.

As Igor you need to find objects that professor asks for. You need to find them in the mansion or in its surroundings. The game is rather repetitive, basically based upon going from one end of the map to another. Scenery is full of enemies that reduce the amount of health (in this case - mental condition of Igor) so you need to avoid them by jumping over them or looking for a different route. Average.

No real redeeming factors. Ok, sound is good, but that's it.

Wow, I have forgotten how good this game was. The music by Andrew Roger is not something that you could whistle, but it creates spooky atmosphere, which is great. Nice effect of rain and thunders. Overall the graphics are quite nice. As for the gameplay - it's good. The game should have been bigger, though. The time limit is also unnecessary. The bottomline is - a must-have for horror fans. 7/10 at least.

I like spooky games and this one had some nice little touches. Gameplay was a bit on the lame side though and the thought of collecting all those body parts was not very appealing. OK for spooky value. :zombie:

An attempt to emulate the success of The Addams Family, Frankenstein is a similar Jet Set Willy-inspired flick-screen platformer. Alas, the crucial element for any such game to be good is for the enemy patterns to be logical and predictable so they can be avoided, but the ones in Frankenstein are ill-thought-out and often inescapable. The small map, lack of power-ups, strict time limit, and poor collision detection when jumping on platforms are further flaws. The reasonable graphics and spooky soundtrack are the only redeeming features. :|

The game has a great soundtrack. Very spooky and it adds an extra atmosphere to the game.

Graphics were at times ok. One minute it looked good, the next it just fizzed. Gameplay: easy to control. Could jump a little better. Didn't get hooked on this one.
