Good action, nice sound, and the minimap is mighty useful. Maybe the only drawback is it's too short.

Nice chase-game with neat graphics and sound. I used to play it a lot back then. Broderbund released some pretty cool games during the early C64 years, my fave being Loderunner. Bought Drol as a budget tape for about $5 two years after its release and still have it somewhere... Guess I will undust it and give it another go. 7/10.

Very good cartoony-like graphics and action. The sound was kewl too! The replay-value is a little low, but other than that, 8 of 10.

I don't know whether it was a bug or not, but if you took too long to complete any of the levels, it would shift up to level 2, suddenly getting harder (the enemies would shoot stuff at you).

Now here's a perfect example of just how weird games could get back in the '80s. A witch doctor has lured a young mother and her two children to a tropical island, kidnapping the mother and trapping the two kids in a dream-like stupor, seperating them from their beloved pet lizards. You, a sort of spaceman-type of person, are dispatched to save the day. To clear each of the first two levels, you have to pick up the pets (who are equipped with rocket belts and will speed away from you), then save the kids. On the third and final level, you must find the proper path to the mother, tied up in a corner. The story sounds like the product of a fever dream, but the game *is* fun.
