Main sprite not withstanding this was a very good conversion from the BBC. Although I must confess to slightly preferring the BBC original myself.
Still, it retains the excellent core gameplay and for that reason was very playable and had a lot of charm.

Play the BBC version, and you won't want to even touch any other version. The C64 version is decent (it's kinda hard to make a bad version of this), but ruined by a few things; the sound effects, the WAY TOO WIDE main sprite and the dull color of the eggs.

I mean, what's going on? C64 can do anything the BBC can do and more, and yet, it used this bloated, super big sprite and very dim egg color.

How did they mess up this simple, SIMPLE game this bad?

Not a total disaster, as Chuckie Egg is 'playable' in pretty much any platfom, but for heaven's sake, at least give the BBC version a go before making your final decision about this one.

I love this game on the CPC, and I love the C64 version too. I like the new sprites and graphism. I'm not objective but 10/10

Brilliant and crazy game. I'm glad I had bought the original tape :) Lots of fun crushing the chickens eggs, especially to get the chickens racked off :D

One of the rare c64-platformers that did everything right. Good collision-detection, good controls, smooth gameplay. Superb game.

Oh come on people! Why is this perfect (or, at least, as close to perfect as any game will ever be) only rated a 6. 9? Some people have given this game a 1... Everyone should vote 10 to balance this. A rating of 1 indeed, what a cop-out!

Simple and a lot of fun. Got quite difficult when the big chicky appeared and started chasing you around the screen! Great fun though/ :)

Use to have chuckie egg 1 & 2 on the Amstrad and C64. The old games where some of the best games. Like jet set willy and manic miner. Is there anyway of getting these games now.

Used to love this game on the CPC. Haven't played it on the C64 tho..

Addictive and great fun. Very hard later on, but still provides hours of gaming.

An amazing game. Level 31 was incredibly hard, especially on speed level 6 (which, if you chose it, shows a health warning before you begin!) and the tape, which could say ERROR REWIND TAPE, could fix these bugs the next time you tried- you didn't even have to reset the C64 to do it! Also far better than it's sequel (although that was good too!)

Once played on the MSX I thought that it must be the same simple crap to the 64... And it was... SHITGAME !!!

My best C64 game (from about 40 I played)!! Game allows Harry to fall from any height and jump onto Ladders adding great flexibility to his maneuverability. It starts out slow but becomes a challenge at higher levels. The level of difficulty/challenge increases very gradually with each level allowing you to play it for a long time. With patience you should be able to go past level 99 which takes about 2 hours.
