Cavemania

Had this on the Spectrum and always did like it for what it was, but I was hoping the C64 version would better it. However, in spite of the nice graphics I was immensely disappointed with how the game played and sounded. The gameplay is a huge step down from the Speccy version, the rocks you throw at enemies do not travel as far and the jumping is unpredictable. The sound is also a let down, the sound of the enemies being hit and the rocks coming from the volcano should have been more meatier than it does here, definately not the best use of the SID. What an absolute disappointment.

Looked nice, in a cute cartoony way, but the sound and gameplay were quite poor.
Not a game that I spent much time playing after I bought it and having recently retried it I can see why.

I actually found this flick screen outing quite fun and played it to the end. It was only 1. 99 too!
