Bubble Ghost

I love this game. Originally created by Christophe Andreani for Infogrames France for Atari ST.

However, the controls are ridiculously infuriating.
So, not recommended.

I recommend the Amstrad or wonderful updated Gameboy version. Controls are way better!

A decent game with an unusual but slightly irritating control method.
I didn't actually like the graphics all that much and the sound was pretty poor.
The core gameplay lived and died on the control mechanics and I personally found them more irritating than enjoyable.

Very oldschool, even for 1989.
It's an nice game with cool graphics. But the mechanic is a bit unpolished and there are too much passages which are too tight.

Still an nice game. But is not the classic which the concept deserved.

This looks like it would be a great game but it's pretty lacking. A game like this needs good physics but the physics for the bubble are rubbish. The frame rate is very bad and the bubble kind of jerks around. Also, you don't have to think at all to play it. The screen shots make it look like it's a puzzle/action game, but really there is nothing to think about or even plan since it's so one dimensional. Nice looking game but just doesn't quite cut it. BTW The text in the lower right corner is the smallest I've ever seen on the C64.

I loved this game. It was extremely challenging, but gorgeous and fun.

My first reaction when I see or hear someone say "Bubble Bobble" is man that's a great game. Then I remember that it was Bubble Ghost that I'd been thinking of.

This was original and fun.

Very good graphics and the game idea is fantastic. I had some real trouble when the first candle light showed up. Just blow it out... But who could imagine that it was so easy... I just thought I should care about the bubble =)

Heh, pretty weird idea

A cute, if one-dimensional, puzzle/arcade game. The premise is simple: you are a ghost who is trying to guide a bubble through some kind of dungeon or castle, by blowing on it. Naturally, the castle is full of pointy things, candle flames, narrow passageways, and other bubble-hostile features. Occasionally there are simple puzzle elements (having to blow out a candle before blowing the bubble over it, for example), but for the most part it boils down to quick reflexes.

This was one of few games, that I really bought (original, not crack). Graphics is good, but the game itself is VERY difficult!

This is a fantastic game, very well done. Atmospheric graphics and sound. ADDICTIVE !!!

This is one strong game. As is befitting an action/strategy/puzzle game of this nature, graphics need only be passable for the game to be strong. Fortunately, Bubble Ghost boasts some of the best graphics this side of the C64.
