What do you mean "how to wire up"?

If it's the C64 GS kind it's already wired and can be used for the games that support it.

Sorry, I written it in a rush and now I read my question, it is a bit vage.

What I would like to know, how dose the joystick tell the commodore when button two is pressed. Dose it send the signal throw the pot pins or by double pulsing the fire line.

Thanks and solved.

Linking the 5v line to pin 9 (Pot Y) is Button 2.

Just for the record. Pin 9 is POTX.
