Eskimo Games 1991, CP Verlag
Every winter I keep looking out the window in the morning until I see the first snow of the season. There's something childishly innocent about that. I guess it brings memories of the things we used to do in the snow.

I guess that's why there are some winter games (apart from the Olympics) that are trying to capture that feel of the fun in the snow. The best know game of this genre would be Ski or Die, but Eskimo Games can certainly be counted among the top five.

The games offer you a few events you get to play and you compete for points.

This one has to be my favourite. The object is to collect the eggs from the nests before they hatch, while avoiding to be pushed off the rope by a near flying bird.

Snowball fights are naturally a classical winter activity, although unlike the real life you don't get to stick snow down the neck of a girl you fancy (ah, the days of puppy love).

The event I always found the hardest, probably because there's a lot of wear and tear on the joystick - Igloo Making! And don't forget to avoid the seal, or you'll end up face deep in the snow.

And last but not least you’re a barman serving ice-cream to other Eskimos. OK, it may have nothing to do with winter really, but it's still fun to play (although we've seen this in a game of its own).

GRAPHICS - 8/10
Nice, colourful and cheerful graphics are bound to make children love this game and it's good enough for others to like as well.

SOUND - 9/10
The sounds in the background are exceptionally good. Not enough game related effects, but the game music is great!

PLAYABILITY - 7/10
You get some fun mini games to play. It's alwys more fun to compete against a friend :)

OVERALL - 8/10
A very solid winterland based game, that will probably appeal more for the younger children, but could very well be appreciated by others as well.
