Security Alert 1991, First Star Software
This game is something between a puzzler and an action game. You are a burglar and get to choose where you want to break in. Of course the more luxurious places have better security, so you should start with something less protected.

There are several gadgets you can use (usually have to find them on the way) to help you avoid tripping off the alarm system, but even if the alarm goes off, you're not busted yet. You need to get caught by the security forces.

The game has many keyholes, security locks that require special passes, safes, and you need to search the building and get the prize you came in for (this could be cash or goods, depending where you broke in).

Apart from getting the necessary keys to open safes, you can also force them, but you need the equipment. You must also watch out for different alarm systems. There are motion detectors, laser beams, triggers. So you must really be careful, if you don't want the alarm to go off.

You need to find the path through the maze that will allow you to get what you came for, but you must also be able to escape from the building again (if this happens you'll ride of on your bike).

There are three levels of difficulty and I must admit, I still haven't successfully robbed the bank on the final level. Yes, the game can be really hard. And let's not forget, you are being timed, so if you run out of time, you also run out of luck.

I didn't know what to expect when I first played this game. But it grew on me and I still like to give it a go after so many years.

GRAPHICS - 9/10
The game features good Graphics. You can even choose between a top down view and a side view.

The sounds are functional, but then again, when you're breaking in, it's the silence that counts.

The game can be set from childish easy to extremely difficult, so everybody gets what they want.

OVERALL - 9/10
The idea is great and they were able to make it fun and interesting. Thumbs up. This game is almost a true classic.
