This game, that was released by Quelle-Soft and Ocean, isn´t as cheap as the price of 10.- DM some years ago. The title stands not exactly for the aim you have to fulfil, because its more a rescue than a Jagd (hunt). Inside the cockpit of an small helicopter, you have to fly over a seascape with some islands. On these islands and in the sea, there are some peoples how need your help. Before they drowned or die of hunger you have to pick them up, by getting down with your heli until the persons can be reached by a ladder, that comes out of your heli. On the screen, the word ´inhabited´ will be displayed, if there is somebody waiting for you. Be careful that you don´t touch the surface of the ocean or an island otherwise you have to spend one of your four lives. This will also happen if you run out of fuel, so try to reach the yellow barrels, swimming in the sea. On the upper part of the screen you see the ´fuel´ and ´altitude´ display and the ´stability´ display that shows you how many person you can carry. After loading the men into the heli, you have to fly with them to the island with the platform. OK, sounding not very difficult till now... so lets introduce the enemy fleet, that will try to shoot down or collide with your sprite. Number one is a starfighter-jet, crossing the screen from left to right and vice versa. If this fast flying fighter hits you, bad luck.
Number two is a little black heli, appearing on the left and right side of the screen.It moves around very quickly and can change the flight-direction very often, so keep an eye on it and don´t let this thing touch you. The third enemy class is a heatseaker rocket, coming from the left or right side. Its trajectory can be very chaotic and makes this damn thing not easy to hit. It can be destroyed as the other enemies by shooting with your laser cannon, (be careful because your laser can be overheated if you are firing too fast) and also with a magnesium-ball, that can be dropped out of the heli by pushing the joystick down and pressing the fire-button. With this interesting weapon, you can also attack the boats, cruising through the ocean and hinder you to get down to rescue a person. After you have examined every island and delivered every person to the platform-base, your mission is completed. Also pick up the pilots, hanging on a parachute, after two enemy planes crashed together.
In my opinion, this one is better than a lot of games that were much more expensive. A clean programming routine with no bugs, only if you have lost a life and your heli appears on the screen, you can be hit in the same moment. You should take a look at it... but don´t get too frustrated when you see the ´Game Over´- screen after 30 seconds. You have to be fast if you want to survive. so test your skills with this one.

Good ´player´-sprite, and some well animated enemy aircrafts, the background and the islands could be more alternate.

Martin Galway delivers some great FX-sounds (e.g.: if you destroy a heatseeker rocket) and two typical ´Galway - tunes´. As usual, good work.

It took a while to handle the heli and it will bring you some sweaty palms, but the longer you play the more fun you will get. Be prepared: its fast
and you need a calm hand.

this one, if you like air-fight Shoot'em-ups.
