A great new game-concept. A little mix of an racing game and a 3d - jump and run.
What i have to do?
Direct your ball in the fastes time over the chess-board like-course by rolling and jumping over the speedway, without falling into the black holes.
There are many coloured squares... what do they cause?
If your ball rolls on a Green field, it will speed up its tempo, if it hits a Red field, the tempo will decrease, a Cyan field will reverse the control direction, so if you wanna turn left you have to push the joy to the right. the Blue field will make you jump, its usefull in front of the black holes. White fields will activate the warp-mode and your ball becomes faster and faster. (Arcade-mode) and you canīt roll over a Purple field. The brown squares are the normal īstreetī.
What kind of game-modes i can choose?
You can play a one player game, one player against a robot, a two player game in the Arcade mode, that means, you have only seven jumps per level. Also there is a trial mode, where you can practise on every single course of the 21 courses. In the two player match mode you can choose 3 courses and start a race against our buddy. You see, there are a lot of different game modes.
What's the difference between Trailblazer and a normal racing game?
Because of the different undergrounds, your ball rolls over, your speed and reaction-skills will be challenged on a very complex way. But it will bring you lots more fun than some other race-games. Its an own kind of game-genre and will steal you hour after hour until you have made your way through all courses. so you have to use the Trial mode to practise the course, because if you miss for example a single blue square, you wonīt be able to fulfil the jump over the big black zone.

| GRAPHICS - 7/10 |
The GFX are reduced to some geometrical shapes. The titlepic looks nice and the ball-sprite is well animated. The scrolling of the courses are very smooth.
Not pretty, but functional.

The game music is nothing special, but the Sound-Fx are pretty good. Each field causes a different sound.

A good game idea. The steering is easy and the different game modes will bring you a great variety. The computer is a tough opponent - not easy to beat.

In my opinion, one of the best games you can get for less then 100 blocks diskspace. The 2 Player-mode gives you and a friend lots of fun, if you got used to the game.
