Motocross 1989, Codemasters
Motocross was one of the first games I bought with my pocket money just after getting my C64. The aim of the game is very simple, you have to get you and your motorbike to the finish line intact. Whist doing this you have to overcome various objects such as stones, logs, ramps and huge jumps. On the second level you have to do all this and try to beat a clock at the same time. As the levels go on, the more and more intense the game gets (larger objects, less time). The game can be a bit hard to get to grips with at first, executing a jump and landing correctly can be fairly hard and it may take a few jumps before you get the routine right. It's simple, if you land your bike at the wrong angle, you end up with your arse on the floor.

The graphics are very colourful and the sound effects are fairly good. If I was going to say anything bad about the game it would have to be that whilst you are playing, a massive Codemasters logo is present on the screen all the time and it can be a little off putting.

Final note: This game is what you would expect from Codemasters, nice, fun and colourful. It kept me interested for a very long time and I would personally recommend it (kids will love if for sure!).
