hbhzth - 2012-07-19 So this is the remake of "Rock'n'Wrestle" for the US market. Wonder if it was released for disk only, not tape at all in the US. Anyone knows for sure, like owning a tape with Bop'n Wrestle on it?
STE'86 - 2011-01-27 A very enjoyable and at the time much underated game this. after completing this game, you then play it again and again doing all the flashy moves and generally beating the early opposition to a pulp before "pinning" them. great fun
ennio - 2009-03-09 Another game I had forgotten about until seeing it here... Had a lot of fun playing this with friends. It was the heydey of the WWF (before we figured out it was fake) and turned to this game a lot after watching Saturday morning bouts!
shawnZshihan - 2007-11-21 This game is fun...years later with games like Supreme Commander and Medieval 2: Total War, I am playing this! lol I love head-butting the computer senseless!
sudz28 - 2006-05-19 A fun little wrestling game where you try to wrestle your way up to Champion by beating a succesive list of ever-more-difficult wrestlers. Sparse graphics but easy controls and genuinely fun to play. I put in more than a few hours with this game as a young 'un.
C65 - 2004-08-24 My friends an I played this one often. The wrestlers had cool different moves for you to learn. Is this one of the better wrestling games for the C64?
EnriqueH - 2004-07-31 Aside from kicking so much ass as Gorgeous George or whatever your name is in the game, the thing I remember most was the laughs. The elbow drop was a funny move. The thing that frustrated me about the game was that it really hard to break out of a pin. I practically snapped joysticks apart tying to break out.
Jungle Ninja - 2004-06-22 My buddy and me had a fun time playing this one!
John Keels - 2004-03-26 This game was just hilarious. The graphics did not impress me too much. But it was a very entertaining game nonetheless. I had almost completely forgotten about this game until I saw it here again. Obviously, I need to get an emulator!
Mountain Man - 2004-01-29 This is one of the classics. Graphically, the game was pretty good. While the characters lacked detail, they were large and well animated. The environment was a bit spartan, but this may have been for technical or aesthetic reasons. Once nice touch: the ropes realistically bounced when you wrestler ran into them! The thing that always kept me coming back to this game was the gameplay. You had a diverse range of moves at your disposable, and each one was puncuated with a satisfying bone-crunching sound effect! The controls were spot on and manuvering your wrestle around the ring and executing various moves was a simple matter of memorizing which joystick position corresponded with which move. Now there was a fairly easy exploit that made beating the game quite easy--you just had to rapid-fire kick your opponent until he dropped then pin him--but if you didn't abuse this, the game provided hours of fun. It even featured a two player mode that was an absolute riot!
Paul - 2003-10-24 I spent hours and hours at this game. The sound and graphics were superb, and the wrestling moves were authentic. I remember the first time I laid a piledriver on someone, it almost made MY neck hurt.. One of the greatest C64 games ever.
dtro - 2003-10-17 This game was sooooo slow and then out of nowhere you'd win the match! what? lol.
Jay - 2003-08-26 I remember playing this game back in 1986, and it was awesome! It was, in my opinion, the best wrestling game up to that point. I spent many hours glued to the screen. I highly recommend it.
snoproblem - 2003-07-08 I used to love this game- it was hilarious. Sometimes, with my copy, one of the wrestlers would have a 'fit', then start doing elbow smashes all over the place. I used to ROAR when it did that. I also loved delivering about a hundred kicks in 5 seconds and hear the opponent go 'uhuhuhuhuheoohuhOH!' Lots of laughs...
Antares - 2003-04-06 Don't let the blocky graphics let you down. This is a fun game indeed. The music really sets the mood and there are many weird characters to fight against. I give it a 7/10.
John - 2003-03-28 I had this game too, thing I rememberd, was that it took about 5 minutes to load up lol. Then after it was loaded I never seemed to make it outa demo mode, and if I did... I got beat pretty bad, but then again I was what 5?
Danial Sharp - 2003-03-08 This game without a shadow of a doubt was one of, if not the best C64 game available. Like trepain over the years I have kept singing the tune it is just that addictive. I think rock n wrestle suits it best, as it was named here in england. If you want a game for the C64 which is fun, playable and packed with entertainment then download this, even today a 2 player game of this will make anyone smile
Lemonope - 2003-02-25 Bop'n'Wrestle, Rock'n'Wrestle or W/E ppl call this game. I used to love it! I just called it Wrestling. Great Characters. Playing 2 player is fun and just watching the demos is cool too !
andrew - 2002-12-23 Great game, but it was called Rock n Wrestle in England
trepain - 2002-12-02 I can still hum the tune in my head! Consider there were not many wrestling games for the C64 this was a classic! I really enjoyed this game when I was a kid.
sean - 2002-09-17 This was the probably the most played game for me when I had it. I used to love wasting Lord Toff for ages before I finally pinned him!!
Bandicoot - 2002-07-07 What a game!
Ja7482 - 2002-03-12 I love this game, one of my favourite wrestling games at the time. The nice part about this wrestling game that seperated it from other wrestling games at the time was the unique way each wrestler approached the match. The control is tricky at first, probably need instructions first, though once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. I give this game 9/10.
Todd - 2002-02-25 I played this game so many times as a kid, it's obscene. In my opinion it's the best C64 wrestling game ever made.
