Another of Cinemaware's gems.

Great game all around. Some comments about lack of playability is not correct IMO. I loved the humor when you contact an agent and receive a message from the evil Nazi general instead. And the ending when you win is brilliant.

It's still amazing to see what you could achieve on the Commie.

One of the beautifull game on the 64... Close to Defender of the Crown (die nazi !! diiiie)

Pretty good port from the orginal Amiga version of the game.

Some music and pictures are missing, but it still really shines.

I love the scene on the nazi zepplin when you get to talk to the girl and it uses digitized speech for the dialog.

Even better is the scene when you get captured by the germens, and are tied up with girl to a torture device, and get drilled by the evil Nazi general. This scene also uses digitized speech. (TELL US ABOUT ZEE ROCKET PACK OR ZEE GIRL WILL SUFFER! )

Brillant graphics and sound, but did Cinemaware forget the gameplay?... This game has not aged well, as obviously back then, it was so show off the C64 capabilites which doesn't impress me, as there a more impressive demos around.
The Multi loading-times get by like this game is like reading a book, and this book is a boring as hell.

Without doubt, one of the best games on the C64. Minor drawbacks were the diskswapping, and the "codewheel" copy protection device. However this is one game I enoyed playing over and over again. Great graphics, atmospheric music, entertaining and challenging sub games, gripping storyline and a superb atmosphere. It's a pity more of the commenters here didn't have the codewheel as it was needed to get anywhere in the game.

Awesome graphics, excellent music, terrific sound effects, and shit gameplay. That pretty much sums up this game (and pretty much every other Cinemaware game for that matter). It also had a nasty habit of locking up in the later stages of the game. That and an inability to save a game in progress (a *huge* oversight!) contributed to my never actually finishing this game. It had some simplistic yet mildly-entertaining arcade sequences and a decent premise, but the actual game just wasn't that good. It was really more a demo showcasing the C64's capabilities than a game proper.

10/10 for the graphics. Sincei only ever played the cracked version (with out the wheel thing) I never managed to get any-where. So I can`t comment on gameplay

Yes this was a very different game, I liked it very very much, And like Callisto said already you realy needed the decoder wheel to play this game.
altough I gotta say I've played it more on the Amiga.
Callisto - 2003-02-11
This game is very nice - I like the Nazi premise and all the rest. Quite hard though, and you need the decoder wheel to know where to fly to (very inventive copy protection actually!) ... Fun indeed!

This is the second best game by Cinemaware for the Commodore 64, after Defender of the Crown. Only marred by slightly long download times.

Cinemaware did some cracking titles during the 80's - especially on the AMIGA - I was surprised to see that they ported so well over to the humble CBM64 - this one ported very well as did Defender of the Crown - Fantastic Graphics and good sound complement a decent game - Download and prepare to fight the forces of evil

Download this now... Play this game now!!!

Before today's era of so called "interatcive movies", Cinemaware did it back in the C-64 era! A truly fantastic game that captures the fun and adventure of the classic 1940's/50's hollywood serials.

Good luck Commando Cody... Woops, Rocket Ranger!
