funky_spingers - 2012-09-04 I think the best thing about this one is the music. I played it a few times but the awful, stuttery amimation and gameplay just put me off completley.
LivingDaydream - 2008-06-16 When I got my first C 64 in 1988 I bought this game on tape, so I am a bit nostalgic about it. I think I liked the "mystic atmosphere" and got into it more than it deserved because it was my first own game. I liked the music and I think the graphics weren't that bad. Hmm, to me it was fun to explore the games "world" although I never completed it and moved on to better games when I got some tapes from my friends.
Rami Airola - 2007-03-20 I got the game, read your comments, read the Zzap! review and began playing with no expectations. At first I noticed the mostly bad graphics (reminded me of Big Trouble in Little China). Then I tried to jump and noticed the awful gameplay. I decided to try a few screen forwards. I got to the screen with the first piece of rune, fell down and couldn't get up anymore. I tried it again (after restarting the game) and it happened again. I tried it few times until I finally got the piece and got out alive. I almost quit playing but then a MIRACLE happened. I noticed that I can walk through doors. I really felt a bit of joy and began exploring the world while finding other pieces of rune (and even fought against some weird sorcerer). I really actually ENJOYED the game for a moment. I felt this weird feeling I had when I was just a kid and I played horrible but nevertheless entertaining games. In my opinion Artura a bit underrated game. It might be way below average but I've played a lot worse games...
Falla - 2007-01-30 I just can't enjoy this game... The only thing that seems positive about this, is that it was Ben Daglish to make the tunes..
steef-online - 2006-06-22 Hmmm... This is not good. Graphically this is pathetic. The figures look as if the are badly designed puppets who walk as if they dirtied their underpants. The explosions (!) when you kill a vilain look like they've been programmed in Basic and this minimal graphical detail is presented in a flickering and everything but fluent way. Music is okay, not brilliant and gameplay is repetative and boring. I think the 10% that Zzap! gave this game is a bit too harsh, but it doesn't deserve much more... Graphics: 2/10 Sound: 6/10 Playability: 4/10 Overall: 3/10
GibsonXXI - 2003-09-17 I actually quite liked this game, probably because of the music more than anything. The game itself was very repetitive and hard to progress through, but those with a Action Replay cart could manipulate the screen to cut through the levels, quite nifty.
SHOCTROOPER - 2003-07-05 The music is great, and the game looked okay, until I actually played it.. This is crap in its truest form.. Nice cover though..
Me - 2003-04-25 Got this on a collection, truly a bad game... Only good thing was the music, just average but very catchy... I even made a lyric to it...
Oldskool - 2002-01-30 Never heard or read anything positive about this game, and I'm not one to fly in the face of tradition...
MattSid - 2002-01-19 The first 13 second of sid are fantastic
