|
|
this is the start of a (hopefully) monthly games competition.
at the end of the year (that is after having played 11 or 12 games), we'll know who's the true games champion of this forum! have fun!
rules are simple:
- games compo starts now and ends thursday 6 febr. 2003
- download Bubble Bobble from here:
http://62.168.142.38/~rem/b/Bubble_Bobble.zip (the Remember version)
- post a screenshot with your highest score in this thread. if you can't, send them towards my email address (below) and I'll post them right away.
- there's nothing to win except the everlasting respect of all the Lemoners, how's that?
- don't cheat! (be fair alright?)
game on lads!

Why so little time? Why not give ten days or something? (I'd like to participate, but I just started evening school for something, and therefore have little time; I'm sure others will be in similar situations. Oh well.) _________________ |

What was your score, then, Paul?
BTW I bet Mayhem will thrash us all to pieces.
I'm glad though that the compo is on Bubble Bobble, 'cause many played it a lot (girls also), and 'cause I still enjoy a lot to play it.
Let's hope I'll have some time soon... _________________

Ok let me get the ball rolling here. I must emphasize that this isn't anywhere near my best. Just a quick blast to get the feeling back.

Matt, there's a problem: I can't see the pictures you posted. _________________ My top games: 1.Hawkeye, 2.Uridium, 3.Creatures II, 4.Delta, 5.Bubble Bobble, 6.Ikari Warriors, 7.Armalyte, 8.Bionic Commando, 9.Archon, 10.Buggy Boy. |

My score was 613,140, but it was really just something for everyone to shoot at. I only played it twice. I'll definitely be topping that in the next week, although I'm not that great on Bubble Bobble.... |

I thought we're supposed to be playing the *Commodore=64* version? These screenshots look like the arcade. |

I only see one screen shot, and it's unquestionably the Commodore 64 version. |

<wimp>I'm afraid to enter the compo this time. I'm utter crap at Bubble Bobble. I don't want to achieve a ridiculous score and make others laugh at me. Sob. Sob. Mommy-mommy, and all that </wimp> _________________ Galileo Fígaro... Magnífico! |

My highest score up to now is 30.000.
Guess there is no screenshot needed now. I never played this game, so that could explain why I totally suck at this game. |

Right a couple of nagging problems with this little compo. First using remember version, you can cheat! Secondly using a machine code monitor cartridge, i could change the score on this game and have the highest one! And get a snapshot of my 999,999 score!

HOW DO YOU BEAT the last boss (level 100)? I keep shooting bubbles at him, but nothing happens... they just pass through as though he's a ghost. What's the secret? |

Eat one the litle flask with lightnings on it.
then you will be able to blow lightning bubles which you need to break to relesase the lightnings.
You will need to hit that last one a lot with thoseligthnings before hes trapped in a giant bubble
smash it like you smash the small ones to complete hte game _________________

I have once managed to get to level 100 in Bubble bobble, but died there! D'oh! It kind of killed my interest for a looong while... I'd like to take part in this competition since BB happens to be my #2 favourite game ever (and my hiscore is somewhere around 600.000), but since my 64 is malfunctioning in a big way right now I can't... waiting for some later competitions... |
