What is that thing? How is it different than the original drive?

I'd guess it's been used for testing, need to do some research.

The original drive has been replaced with a 3.5" unit. Looks to have had other mods as well.

Someone has modded the SFD1001 case with a PBX tester, for what reason I've no clue
