I'm busy improving the C16 and Plus/4 screen designers in CBM prg Studio so that all of the colours can be used. The problem is the colours produced by the vice emulator seem a bit dark so I used the rgb values from this page. Which one is the best representation?

Try YAPE. It's the best C16/+4 emulator imo.

I was impressed with YAPE, plus it lets you select the screen type for different palettes. But which is the nearest one to the real hardware?

Good question, I couldn't give an opinionated answer yet until my new TV RGB cable arrives for my C16 (my scart lead broke), and for some reason my TV won't tune it in via my analogue RF cable, and there's probably differences in clarity between all three cable types.

You should get a more definitive answer on plus4world before my cable turns up anyway. You don't even need to sign-up to post.

Yes, but how are you going to use an RGB cable to connect your C16 to the TV when the C16 does not have anything RGB?

Well that's how much I remember. It's not RGB, it's RCA. Still it's the one I need for both my Commodore's Smile
