I think Revs and Stunt Car Racer let you use keyboard.
(along with the sentinel, all Geoff cramming games)

Any text adventure game is going to be keyboard only.

These games can use both, and play well with keyboard.

Karateka
Lode Runner
Championship Lode Runner
any other lode runner levelset.

And in the not quite so great department

Crush Crumble and Chomp

And of course..

Nearly all adventure games, some of which were awesome.

I also found speedball 2, arkanoid 2 and manic miner has keyboard support.

I think I will have to do a list or something on what games have keyboard support as it might be usefull.

Depends on the type of games you want to play. But I like most of the Ultima series and Wasteland. However, they are RPG types and not really good if you just want to do a quick shoot-em up.

The most basic game I ever played and the most fun was one called Dam Buster. Just used the space bar. Simple game but I spent a lot of time playing it.

Chessmaster 2100 or 2000: entering in the chess moves via keyboard is much more satisfying (and less time consuming) than moving your mouse/joystick. But if you lose, don't pour your J&B Scotch on the rocks down the keyboard like Kurt Russell did in The Thing.[/b]

Pretty sure Monty on the Run and Thing on a Spring used keyboard. Jack the Nipper definitely did!

I tried to compile a list of same games that would work a few years back when I was into the Hummer DTV unit (which didn't have a joy port). Some games I found were:
  • Spyhunter
  • Minima Reloaded
  • Space Invaders
  • Total Eclipse
  • Doctor Who
  • Radar Rat Race
  • Ultima Series games
