hi, i dont know if this is the right part of the forum to post this on but i am wondering if anyone else has had the misfortune to deal with ebay member terrinashy? i have been selling my commodore gear off on ebay for about 12 months now and this idiot, for want of a better word is constantly harrassing me, claiming that items i am selling are fake and abusing me (how you fake a commodore 64 is beyond me!). i have been in contact with other sellers that have had the same dramas. so i guess this is a warning to forum members not to deal with this nitwit, as well as a question - has anybody else had dramas with this moron? and if so, what did they do about it? |

Never had anyone do that to me but, what I would do is ignore any further messages from him.
I think you have to be a member on ebay to send a message to a seller right? So just report him. _________________ Ray...

Block the little scrote and forget about him. People like this is one reason I hate selling on eBay - you never know what trouble you'll get until the buyer leaves the positive! |

wow, i didnt expect a reply that fast! i have reported and blocked the nasty little maggot, now he has taken to ringing me every 5 minutes!! its a pity, i have sold litteraly thousands of commodore items on ebay with no problems at all, i found out about this forum and others through friendly buyers on ebay, its people like this that make you loose faith in the goodness of human nature. thanks for the advise its really appreciated and if terrinashy bids on anything that other forum members are selling, well, i wish you the best of luck!! |

Don't know about the laws where you are, but harassing people by phone is illegal here. Get the police to ring him back... |

I've always thought it best to hear both sides of a story, but since the other guy isn't on here, then maybe you can help. Please post some links to your auctions so that we can see if the guy's complaints have any merit?
There are plenty of people out there selling copied disks, and we've seen faked Golden 64's as well as faked silver-badge C64's. _________________ My favorite game houses: Broderbund and Synapse. |

I like how he claims he took the photos today, but the date was wrong. But apparently he can't be bothered to take new photos. I guess it costs too much to have the photos developed. _________________

It was a fake "Commodore 64 Computer system?"
Looked pretty real to me. _________________

Not to sound rude or anything but what is your E-Bay username, myx? I see terrinashy who registered here with his E-Bay username. However, myx shows as an E-Bay user that is no longer registered. I assume by starting this thread, you wanted acceptance that you are not selling bootleg (fake) software and such. I can't confirm you are are not since you never mention your username or show the product in question.
In regards to the Commodore 64 painted gold. Nowhere does it say that it is a 1 million edition gold C=64. It comes with no plaque and the commodore logo on the upper left is not silver and contains no black marker serial numbers. So its just a Commodore that was probably painted gold in the past before being sold. No mention of it being a 'golden 64'. So, it is not a fake. Just a 64 painted. I have one painted black. Several people on here have their 64s painted. _________________ |

Indeed! Painting a C64 doesn't turn it into a fake.
It just makes it another color.
Whether this is sacrilege or not is another issue completely |
