Just made up an S-Video cable (from here http://radagast.bglug.ca/C64_s...video.html) for my 5 Pin A/V Commodore 64 and can't seem to get a decent picture out on either of my two LCDs.

When turned on I see the start up screen, and get this picture:



Yet if I use the same cable on my later 8-pin C64 I get a great looking picture. Can't understand why the two should be different, as they have the same pin-out as far as i know. The 5-Pin C64 looks fine on RF. Must I modify this cable for the 5-Pin? Or is there something wrong with my C64?

the 8 pin has seperate chroma/luma, the 5 pin does not, or something like this. there is an extensive thread elsewhere in help and support covering this topic. ill look for it and post the topic header here for you.
