Hello,

I tried using Copy II 64/128 v3.1 on my Commodore 128D to copy a disk and was struck by how LOUD it was. Now I understand that the 1571 isn't exactly quite by today's standards but Copy II was waaaay louder than anything I have heard before on my 128D. I have used the copy disk functionality in C128 Dos Shell it isn't nearly as loud. Has anyone else experienced this and know why?

You mean there is a great deal of seeking going on by the drive "Chattering".
This maybe normal for this software have you tried another copy there are
a few about http://search.cbm8bit.com/?query=Copy+II+ you can also find
the manual using the link above.
