Yay, another BBS is up and open for business!!

Just making it known that my BBS micromansion.kicks-ass.org:23 is now up as of 1hr. ago.

I haven't installed any mods or graphics yet... I had just about all I could do going through the configuration of getting it up and running locally. I will be devoting the next coming days,weeks,months and years getting it customized and more enjoyable for those who register.

I am looking forward to starting a HUGE game of Empire and hopefully utilizing the networking of the Subboards between Image BBS's, A technology that kind of got lost before it began with the invention of the Internet (ugh)! Since I am running Image BBS as of this posting, and it can utilize all 255 partitions of the CMD drive, I will also like to archive as much Commodore files as possible to try and make a 'definitive', 'off-line' source for everything Commodore.

Those are a few of the plans I have in mind for the BBS and as this journey begins (again), I look forward to watching it evolve. After all, for us purists out there, it's kinda inadequate downloading the latest releases for the scene from the internet. It works of course, but just to be able to do it from a BBS, the way that it SHOULD be, is priceless.

Hi mr.micro! Just trying to sign up but I'm hitting an issue where I'm meant to enter a phone number ... obviously this isn't set up for overseas numbers. Smile

I think there's an issue with the BBS accepting phone numbers if the are code's second digit isn't a '1' or a '0'... not sure why as I'm new to Image BBS myself..

Since I'm probably NEVER going to call anybody, I think I'm going to try and remove that as a verification method, but in the mean-time you can enter a phone number such as (312)456-7890 and be fine... If we DO get to a point where we'd talk on the phone, a simple 'feedback' or 'message' including the phone number would work fine.

You know.. I just thought of something. I no longer have an analog POTS line. I sort of do, but it is provided by my cable modem. Has anyone tried using an analog modem over such a line?

Well.. what goes UP.. must come DOWN...

The board will be undergoing extensive revamping.. it appears there's either some issues with Image not wanting to play nice with the CMD or there's some issues with the ML file that loads the UD/SB's. I'll be spending quit sometime trying to correct this issue ASAP.. just want to keep those interested updated.

The Mansion is open and the UD/SB's are ready for you.

I will be adding more files over this weekend and configuring more SB's.
