if somebody knows, tell me please.
Its strange to me that there are remix's of C64 music in mp3 format, but no originals! |

...but why would you want to turn a 2Kb .sid into a 5Mb .mp3?
you can listen to them just as easily through winamp with SIDamp.
If it's so you can edit them, you can export a .sid to .wav with SIDPlay and create an MP3 from that ofcourse. |

The point of sid mp3s is to record the real SID chip playing the song, right? |

Yes. With sound-emulation getting better and better, soon c64 sid music in MP3 won't be necessary. I expect the complete near 95% Sid emulation will be done in less than 2 years.

Very doubtful, cos the SID is a very complex machine.
Fur further details read the pages of the SIDplay page. |

Just asking this question again. I seem to recall there was a big archive of mp3 recordings of a real C64 playing all these sids. Anyone know where I can find it? _________________ |

Some kind of mobilesoftware for sids would be awesome. Now I must convert my favourite sids to mp3 if I wanna listen them in my phone, or use sids as ringtone. |
