Hello all,
Just figured i would say hi and introduce myself. Name is Mike and im in Houston TX currently employed as a pilot for a major airline. Have a few home projects that keep my busy with C++, nothing all that complicated but programming non the less, married, 4 kids and the bills to go along with it all

Have to say its nice to see soo much C64 activity going on these days! I have a C64C coming to the house tomorrow and i cant wait to get it up and running! Im sure like many here, the C64 was such a hugh part of my life growing up and im looking forward to firing it up again and even getting my kids into programming with it.

As for me and the c64, its funny because i started with basic on the C64, did a few small stupid programs with it however never really progressed much. Also was interested in Assembly as well but got nowhere fast with that too! lol. I remember trying to type in machine language code into the basic interpreter and wondering why it would not work lol.. I was young and stupid i guess, had no mentors either.

Anyhow, my plan is to go back and learn basic and assembly now that i have a clue and hopefully write a game! Im looking so forward to it and have basically put my C++ books away. Been reading and working with a C64 emulator and ML monitor having a blast!

Just wanted to say hello and look forward to chatting with you all here on the forums..

Mike L

It's wonderful to have you here. Welcome back to the C64 scene. Smile You'll find lots of great stuff here, including modern day hardware for the C64.
