looking for information on TRIGSOFT/TRILOGIC UPC1 MODULE & GT.LOADER

does anyone know where I can find the software so I Can re-program the static RAM. i have removed the battery because it was leaking and damaging the tracks. I will give it a clean and repair the damage because I want to get the UPC1 up and running again. Also is there any info about connector at the top.

and is there more info for the GT. Loader and what on earth is the cable at the top.

Looking at Google, the only thing I came up with is that they also produced a tape Duplicator (DCL-1). Found it on this website.

On the manual (paper) that came with it is the order info.

TRIGSOFT
161-153 Rutland Street
GRIMSBY
S Humberside
DN32 7ND

Bringing it up in Google Maps, shows it to be a single family home so it looks like a Jim Brain type of thing.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know what the UPC1 device is exactly and what it does?

I came across 1 on ebay yesterday i will have to find it again. the only problem is you need the software to program it. it has a battery inside and a static ram chip. if the batt is dead the data is lost. It will need reprogramming with the correct software again.

Yeah, I saw it too Sad ... I was wondering if it was somekind of cart backup device and tried to grab it incase anything unpreserved was on it. (Sadly because Ebay now masks the buyer, I cannot no longer contact them to see if they could keep us updated about whats on one).

So it's basically a type of EPROM?

TRIGSOFT-UPC1-MODULE-4-EXPANSION-MODULES-COMMODORE-

I was thinking about putting a bit on it but it will probably need a new battery and re-programming againg with the correct software. so i did not bother. i still have the one pictured at the top.

Whilst hating to drag this thread up again I will do anyway because it's about the only thing I can find on the whoooooole internet about the Trigsoft cart (and thread isn't that old).

I used to have one, it was what took me from typing in asm as decimal data in a basic program to writing real machine code and that basically kicked off the Meanteam demos.

It was that base unit cart and then about 10 different odd shaped "modules" that you plugged in the back depending on what you wanted to use it for. Basically it was the forerunner of the Expert cart. There was a fast loader, a monitor, I think a "freezer" and God knows what else (I barely used most of them) and you STILL had to program them all from disk..

Well going to resurrect this thread as I managed to bag one of these on eBay and will be restoring it soon (*new battery and a good clean along with new caps).

I do however have the disk that came with it too!

Plan on checking that out tomorrow and seeing what is on it Smile
