Hey all,

I have newly manufactured DSDD diskettes available for sale. They come with sleeves. I ordered these in bulk and as such they have no boxes or stickers.

$0.80 each, PM if interested.

S&H will be actual cost.

For the record, I "make" about 5 cents a disk off of these basically to offset my financing the inventory.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I have 1000 of these in stock. I had to place the minimum order of 1000 to get them produced as my last lot of 50 "new old stock" disks were starting to fail formatting, etc.

I'm in the US. I'd have to check on the postal rates depending on how many you want. It would probably be around $10-12 from what I can tell.

Black disks, one notch, completely white paper sleeve and no branding?

Pictures would be nice.

How many have you tried yourself, any problems at all?

The disks are indeed single notch and black. Just to make sure no one gets annoyed that they're getting something other that what is described they are also "hub-ring-less". There was no option to have them made with hub rings. This fact didn't deter me as I ran "ringless" disks for years without issue, and to my recollection they were mostly just added as a "ours are better than yours" factor. They are theoretically there it help with slippage/warping. However, as I said - I've never had a problem with them.

The sleeves do have a logo, merely because the mfr had an excess stock of the sleeves from a previous client and they were cheaper. It would have cost an addition .10 per sleeve for blanks. I'm attaching a picture of them still in bulk wrapping, I can snap a single one tomorrow if you wish.

I tested 10 disks, each one from a different 25 disc bulk pack. I had no issue dumping game and GEOS D64 images to both sides (I obviously had to notch those, so they'll stay in my "personal pile") and they loaded up just fine.

I guess some drives are more sensitive to lack of hub rings than other, I've never had any such problems with my 1541-II.

I'll spread the word, don't need any myself right now.

Yeah I checked and a box of 25 disks with sleeves would be $11USD to ship.

I'd also think about setting up shop on ebay and selling them worldwide in packs of 20, its a no brainer imo, nobody does these anymore to my knowledge and to have brand new ones available is great. Im sure I wont be the only one to think that either!

(Oh, and without stating the obvious, bit of a discount for us Lemoners of course! Very Happy )

Already done the eBay thing! Smile

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...500wt_1156

Obviously not discounted as they are here.

The cost for 5 shipped to the UK would be $12 plus the paypal fee, as not charging that would loose me money. From what I can see, a paypal payment from UK charges me 3.9% plus .20GBP. So it would actually be $12.80 USD.

Here's an "individual disk" shot as promised earlier.

Hey folks - who knew that there was such a demand for DSDD floppies. I've burned through all 1000 disks from the original order. I just got a new batch of 1000 disks, with hubrings and blank white paper sleeves. PM me if anyone needs some!

A second index hole? Do DSDD disks usually have that, any DSDD at all? Doesn't look like they do from the picture.

that has nothing to do with DSDD or whatever.... usually they dont have this, no. thats why i am asking - some *do* have them (and especially if you order them in bulk from somewhere, you can usually get these)

They do not. They only have a single index hole.
