When is issue#2 coming out? Wink

Oh God, issue #2 is the last thing I want to think of right now Wink But thank you for the kind words!

Just wanted to let you all know I'll be at the Supanova Pop Culture Festival this weekend at the Gold Coast Convention Centre (in Australia!) selling copies of Blow The Cartridge and a heap of other cool comics I spent the last year making instead of having a life Smile

More details here! Hope to see you there!

Paul - to be honest I plan on having the second issue done in the next month or two...stay tuned Smile

Thanks Matt, the show was a great success!

As I said above I'm working on the second issue, which will have exclusive comics that aren't on the website - so I'm working double shifts on it and taking more suggestions! Hit me with everything you've got Smile

Hoping I'll be able to make the November Supanova...I was completely medically unfit for the GC one and while people did want to put me in a wheelchair and bring me anyway I said I'd only do it if someone provided me with a Davros costume Very Happy So I didn't go.

I just had the strangest dream about Pang. Maybe that is an omen. I swear it was making up location names at the end. Then the harpoon wouldn't fire or I'd get to Cbrbdjk and there'd be no balloons or they'd scream in terror when I popped them or something crazy,

Thanks e5frog, great to see you enjoy it!

Gurt, oh man! Hope you're all better now. I'll try my best to have a Pang comic ready by the time the November show rolls around!

Sidewalk had a really unique visual presentation style - there's definitely something worth exploring there, good one.

Had to think about this for a while, but one of them that would make a nice comic in the graphic style of Oli Frey would be Rescue on Fractalus. Could make up what happens in the hanger deck between levels as you zip off to the mothership between levels.

What, nobody likes Ghostbusters? Smile

I just wanted to let you know that the second printed collection of Blow The Cartridge comics is coming out soon! Blow The Cartridge #2 will be on sale at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in sunny Brisbane, Australia November 9 to 11. It's 30+ pages of full colour retro-gaming madness, including some comics that have never been seen before on the web and a 13 page original comic about the first time I bought Street Fighter 2 and almost got killed in the process. Good times!

And yes, the comic will be available through my site after the convention of course...I'm curious, would you like to see a digital version offered too?

Heh heh, Supanova. I took my wife there last year, bit of an eye opener for her. Smile

"Come to Supanova! Come to Supanova! All the COOL kids will be there! You want to be cool too, right?"

...I suck at peer pressure Smile

But it's cool fun costume or no costume!

Hahaha awesome. Yeah part of the reason I am now getting artist's alley tables at the show was so that my wife could enjoy the show safely without being stuck in the massive crowds! Smile

First one I went to was Brisbane in 2008. You'd see something like a really awesome Boba Fett costume, and then a really lame superhero costume. Smile

Jewel Staite from Firefly was one of the celebrity guests. My mates wanted to meet her (for "only" $30!) and queued up. Me and my other mate couldn't be bothered so we just stood to the side and waited for them. Funny thing is while we were waiting, she walked past us. We got just as close as they were going to and it didn't cost us a cent. Very Happy

I remember when I went in my Pacman costume somebody - James Marsters, maybe, I don't remember - came up to me as he was leaving and started talking to me about my costume. Except not only could I not see out of it properly, I didn't know who it was!

Grande316, haha that's awesome. I think I took a photo of her there that year while returning back to the booth I was working at. Poor girl looked petrified from the crowd! Smile

Gurt, aww man, classic. He'll be there again this year, maybe you can go again and see if he remembers you Smile

I did look for you but I didn't see you! I didn't have as much time as I would have liked - I had to leave my bags with friends, you know how it is. Oh well...I tried.
