Your last setance is questionable Smile
Just a scroller at this stage I think, unless you are a coder who wants to help out???

Not a coder. But I can whip out some crap!
Here's a hexfiles inspired demo of Midnight Resurgence 2010 I was thinking of changing the letters to MR2010, but I slapped it out and packed it 20 minutes. It's not finished. It's just for fun of course Smile

HitMen, did you really pick up an SX64 for $20 the other day?

When you say from a swap meet, you mean flea mearket?
I only ask because where I come from a swap meet usually means a place where you buy parts for you EH Holden or 57 Chev from.

BTW, you are now the official Coder Supremo!

haha! I've hardly dipped my toe in assembly. That's using c64asm. Still learning and pushing my BASIC skills is more fun.

1 guy for code
Anyone else jumping on board?

BTW, I couldn't get the hidden Doom Maze working in your demo?

LCDs and Plasmas don't work with light guns, no - except if they're the modern type I think. GunCon/G-Con 45's work I'm pretty sure.

No idea what I can contribute to the demo but I think you need to nick Walshie's psychadelic C64 for it! Flashing colours can only make it better!

Are you guys talking the above demo? Shocked

If you are I could upload a d64 so people can mode the bitmap. I have it in vidcom(what it gets compiled as) and Advanced Art Studio(my preferred editor) and even Koala from it being wired.

Someone could edit the current character set for the scroll. The position can be changed where it scrolls on the screen.
Sprites of course need to be done. I am currently having a go so MR2010 moves around. I hardly pixel sprites so people could create their own and you guys can pick the best.
The music is from something else. So an original would be good.
The Sine movement for the sprites could be changed as well.

Or Stingray are you talking doing a completely new one? Because the above demo pushes my limits Laughing

LOL. Yeh, that guy won the Demo comp just by turning his C64 on!
Maybe you could do a graphic or another logo for the demo? Even if you did a full screen bitmap. HitMen could then link it to his scroller and add a tune over the top = Multi Part Mega Demo Very Happy

Matt, let me upload the one with the new sprites and you can preserve that demo. Or we may wait to put a Midnight Resurgence logo in front of this one and link them.

Gurt get pixelling! Smile

Here's a revised version with new sprites.

The d64 also has some extras with different depacking effects.

Maybe wait a little bit anyway, this is still a work in progress.
I think Chexsum maybe doing a tune for it and a couple of guys may do some grafx for it too. There may be somone that is going to code another scroller part for it (with another bitmap) too, if HitMen can link the two parts together Smile

I could give it go. I know how to add spacebar/fire button code and have it load the next part via a BASIC routine that clears memory. There must a slicker, better way though no doubt.

I don't know who did the music. I would mind an original piece for it. Maybe Chexum can do a couple of tunes? Question

ok, sorry for the lateness but school has been a bitch recently. I'm starting the concept drawings of the logo and devising the code now.
