Look what the cat dragged in Smile

1) Dino Eggs
2) Crossfire (sierra)
3) Bandits
4) Line of fire
5) Ninja Hamster

Okay, those last two aren't serious, but I had to choose something Smile

Please NOT Microprose Soccer - a) I bet it's impossible to play with the keyboard and that's all I've got, and b) we've just got to the end of a season of football and I'm not sure I could take anymore (I had to endure a season of Scottish football so I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from).

Hahaha! I knew you'd post something like that - but I've been voting for Microprose Soccer for months! Smile

But seriously, I was a bit afraid to post my vote directly after you posted your statement.... no purpose!

That's hard on me as a Hamburg fan... but we'll be kicked out of the cup anyway, Hamburg never wins anything.

Well, you knocked out my flacid team, Celtic, so you're one up on me there.

I've got a fiver on Fulham to win the competition at 8 to 1. I want to see them stuff Liverpool in the final. Oh yeah.

I've never even seen Microprose Soccer.

Can I sell anyone on Encounter?
Thought not.

So THAT's the crux of the matter! Wink

To be honest, I've placed a bet as well - predicting Fulham to knock us out. So either Hamburg plays the final and I'm happy, or they'll play crap and at least leave a little profit for me.

If Hamburg make it to the final I'll root for them to win Toggle, just for you (even though you did vote for stinky Microprose Soccer, thanks very much).

I'm holding my vote until later for "anything-but-Microprose-Soccer". Very Happy

Sorry, hooligans... nothing personal. I don't think the majority of people here want to play sports games in a compo, but you guys are an organized force with your coordinated and concerted high votes! This is SPARTA!!!

You just ain't seen the light. Hooliganism is the way to go. And anyway, as I've already explained umpteen times in previous threads, it would work quite easily with the outdoor soccer challenge, and it wouldn't be any worse than doing a progressive scrolling shoot-em-up over and over again. Or Boulder Dash for that matter. At least Microprose Soccers controls are better...

Wohooo! I can't recall the last time I saw so many people voting for the next compo game on a monday. There are however votes for Zoo Mania (Romppainen) & Wizard of Wor (macc) that won't count since we played those games already. Impressive and good for the future anyway!!

1. Encounter
2. Action Biker
3. Soldier One
4. Mikie
5. Express Raider

Here are the current standings by my count (not official). It includes macc's revised vote change, so I guess we need an official ruling on that. I figured we'd see Satan's Hollow again, but Encounter and Beach Head came out of nowhere.

If we ever play Zone Ranger, what would the rules be regarding using the warp to level 7 to get the 7,500 bonus points?
