I think most of us will have to wait for the proposed 1541U SCPU emulation to see this game.
Although the 1541U seems to be almost as hard to get as a SCPU... |

Thanks for your interest, Mika.
In general:
"4. Not all items are available yet. These will follow step by step."
Source: News announcement here at Lemon64 Forums and our news site.
If you want to purchase something that is not on stock atm, I recommend contacting us via our contact form. You can easier be informed about news then.
As for digital downloads: An internal discussion on this has been started some weeks ago, but has been kinda put on ice for a while to assist our new distributotion man Doc of Desire.
Including new features to the shop also always is a question of time.
Btw, how does this work at Psytronik? Do you automatically receive a hidden download link? Or does Kenz email files to purchasers by hand?
As for emulating a SCPU with a 1541U: This would be great indeed. However, if you want serious first hand information on this, I recommend discussing this at the 1541U forum. _________________ |

@MacGyver Has there been any talk about extra missions for Metal Dust.
Not that i am anywhere near finishing it.
Do you have a mp3 with the sound track from the game.
make a great ring tone.
I got a email with the game attached last time i bought from Psytronik.
I guess you could link it with the customers private account number.

@ Mika: Thanks for your interest! Metal Dust has been unavailable for a while mostly because we were out of 3.5" DD disks. But we got some new ones by now.
Then there was the change of distribution including a couple of changes.
Most of our games including Metal Dust should be available from our Online Shop by the end of the year.
I also hope that 1541U will be able to emulate a SuperCPU someday!
@ c64web: Thanks for the info about digital downloads. We'll discuss it internally and see what we can do about it.
No extra missions for Metal Dust planned, sorry.
I will see what I can do about the MD music. _________________ |

Thanks MacGyver
Is any new games coming to sale?
Also would be great if Doc would make shorter floppy cables for 1541U. |

I'll second that one, something like 10 cm stump would be ideal. |

we atleast cant run our 6502 core at 20mhz, and that on a much larger and faster fpga than what is used on the 1541u - so unless gideon became a magician lately, i'd very much forget the idea of scpu emulation on existing 1541u hardware _________________

I don't know if I am allowed to post this in the Protovision forum, but Stefan Schauf aka Doc of Desire has his own webshop.
I ordered some cables from him directly and can tell you that he is a very professional and friendly guy. I think he can build any cable you want. I once wanted a longer monitor cable for the Amiga as was advertised in his shop so he build a longer one for me. As he also sells floppy cables he probably can build shorter ones if you ask him. He also sells some great looking heavy duty power supplies for the C64. _________________

This was a great timing! I just ordered Metal Dust since I got myself a SuperCPU 128 for christmas.
Mika: There's one SuperCPU on eBay closing tonight! No SuperRam-board though. Highest bid is now 245 EUR. So it's still reasonable price. I don't think it's worth more than 400 euros without the SuperRam-board. |

"They" is who? Protovision? No, sorry, where are no magigians. You need to search and find a SuperCPU yourself. Mind it has a SuperRAM card. _________________ |

The two SCPU on eBay i last saw did not have the SuperRam interface hense
the low price. No SuperRam means no MetalDust. You can't just add memory, The SuperRam interface for the SCPU is harder to find on it's own than a SCPU.
Hope this helps. _________________ Looking for a causal coder, Python/MYSQL/PHP/Java. PM Me |

So really nobody has any chance of acquiring a SuperCPU and even if you do have the 300 pounds to spare it might not even have the right components. _________________ |
