In Wizball sub-tune 2 the effect is better to listen to.
The effect remains at for example 2.0 switching the sub-tune or switching the tune in HVSC.
I used build 3.8.2010 Smile So mine is newer than yours?

Just give me an example.

Seems only to reset back if 8580 SID is set.

Hi Nata,

i will check this ASAP.
Btw, my Memory Stick is no more working (for the third time),
so i need to buy a new and set up a new development environment.
Any suggestions of a fast USB stick (30 MB write speed)?
Too bad, my OCZ ATV turbo was outstanding. Sorry in advance for this being OT.

Hello i try to run jsidplay2 or jsiddevice to emulate hardsid(fake) thru ccs64 3.8 emulator but it doesn't work when a sound is going to play the ccs64 freeze (i tried on vice 2.2 but no sound in there too) , is any workaround for this? thank you. (i created the hardsid.dll thru the jsidplay menu and on sound options hardsid selected on emulators)

As I've noticed this thread again (keep meaning to email or PM) I'd like to request the old style controls back again. It's awful having to do key combos or go to a menu to choose pause/play or next track. Thx Wink

Erm no - not with CCS64. The problem is, that the emulated HardSID function is only tested and working with ACID64.
CCS64 uses deprecated API calls of the DLL, where the client is responsible for the timing of the SID writes.
This approach does not work well with JSIDPlay2 and is currently not supported.
Only ACID64 works great using jsiddevice, because it sends timing information to jsiddevice and the whole communication via socket connection is buffered.
Just give it a try.

Oh no, the button area was such a waste of space.
I hoped key controls would be a better alternative.
And the new menu is not that bad, is it?
Maybe two clicks in the menu is too much? Hmm i will think about it.
Btw, the next update will take awhile.
Currently we are busy with different parts of the player.
I will only update after some tests and at the moment there are several things work in progress...

Emulation wise the current trunk uses Resid 1.0 beta
since January 2011. There is no update since then.
Concerning the latest replies i have re-introduced some player controls (prev/play/pause/next) in the menu bar.
The HardSID support is unchanged and regarding to the other
sources i have changed a lot:
- MP3 playback and recording
- support of two languages: English and German
- GameBase64 integration
- ZIP file support
- directory preview in the filechooser
- Easyflash support
- nib file support (read-only)
- High Voltage Music Engine Collection integration
- Demos collection integration
All material can be downloaded by demand (no manual download required)

Currently i add a virtual keyboard which will be transparent above the video screen.

These are the activities since the last year. Everything can be watched/used by click on the link in my signature Smile

Btw. Basically I'm missing a "SID brightness" setting (from 0% for dark to 100% for light). Micro64 and sid plugin of xmplay has it too. Unfortunately Winvice doesn't have it but it is good for adjusting different tracks.

Hi Nata,

i have updated the player to fix the exception.
The bug was related to Java7 as expected.
The feature request "SID brightness" has been added to the tracker at sourceforge.

So long and thank you for your feedback,
Ken

Hi Nata,

I never saw this, but i found similar problems
in different webstart apps using google.
Seems to be a webstart and firewall combined problem.
I read things here: https://forums.comodo.com/empt...;msg467197

Maybe you can find a relationship between firewall enabled and starting the webstart app.
I think java webstart opens some socket and fails (recv failed).

I hope this hint can help.

Edit: antivirus software could block as well...

PostPosted: Wed Mar 21, 2012 10:47 pm    Post subject: New Release version is out Reply with quote

I have created version 2.5 that is now available at the projects homepage.
I think there is a lot new features in it to justify a new release.
I hope you like it.
Stay tuned Smile

Edit:
It seems i missed to test different languages.
I was able to fix the bugs concerning the english version (StackTrace)
and it seems you discovered a bug in the swixml.jar library, that i workaround, now.
Languages other that english or german defaults to english, now.
I updated the player version at sourceforge. The download name has not being changed (it is still 2.5),
but only the folder is called 2.5.1 by now.
