Cool! Wink
but...be careful... Fear
This is the act that (without a warning) got me banned -
uploading WFP-releases...
Providing thousands of files and info for the site doesn't matter -
if you make yourself uncomfortable with the "right" persons...
you're out! RIP
Laughing

Yes - that's the way of the c64!
First... make a "pengo-game" that's been done 100 times before... Huh
Second... release the same game in german and italian... Zombie
(what is it about the game they don't understand - I mean, how much english info does the original game provide???) Laughing
Third... some lamer group makes trainer-versions of ALL THREE of 'em! Yell

adam,
wfp cracks games, therefor they're releases and so they belong to the archives. whether that's edge of disgrace by booze or a recrack by exory. it doesn't matter.
but yeah I know people beg to differ.
don't worry, I won't get banned, I'm way sweeter than you heheh ;)

cheers mate

I do remember that I did a "Squibblies 3" in the late nineties, but sadly this will be a game that never was as the disk which had the game so many years ago died. There were some other SEUCK games that went with it. Ones of which I might have remembered. I might do a feature on my web site about those games that never saw the light of day.

No, quite the other way around.
These games, just like any other Tankard/WFP release was done on a real c64. The disk was sent, together with other releases, to the contacts.
Several months, sometimes close to a year, later it is available to everyone else when it is transfered to pc.
This is nothing common to you, I'm sure, since I guess you know very little about the scene pre-internet.
But this is the way it worked back then, people shipped disks (and tapes) by real mail (snailmail). Nobody knew about "email-swapping" back then.

I remember doing stuff for Crypt, where I never typed in an actual release-date in the intro. This was just so it could be in the "latest releases"-list on the csdb when it finally was transfered - several months later... (those were the days, Troublemaker)

no, back then it was called BBS. not an option for those poor sods who had to share their phoneline with their little brother and mom, i can imagine.

just for your information: wether something is made on a c64 or sent via snail mail or not doesnt make it better or less crap.

Yes. I do. Look at the amount of releases uploaded on csdb for example. A whole lot pre-internet, I can tell you that.

Maybe you could come up with some law that makes shipping disks by mail a crime? Laughing

damn. and the stuff i did in 1988 was released on the internet! i knew it!

and the real scene as you call it stopped snailmail swapping in 1985 and used BBSs instead. WHQ doesnt mean "local post office". really.
