That was exactly my first impression after my first try.
I've changed my mind after a couple of games:it's not horrible...Still,is a run of the mill conversion,really nothing memorable.
And the original coin-op is much more playable.

Although I have previously voted for YAKF, I don't think it is suited for the compo. My vote has been based on nostalgic reasons, because I really love the game. I just think it's far too easy to be played intensely for a month.
