Ok. This afternoon I will mostly be attempting to upgrade my PC.
I have no idea how it will go but I figure I've got 10 hours and that should be enough time to at least figure out how to put it back the way it was.
If you don't see me for a while you'll know something catastrophic has happened _________________ Hey, you. Dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank. Cosy in there? |

Level 2 is a lot easier than level 1. Theres far less stuff that fires at high speed the instant it scrolls onscreen, for a start!
I seemed to get a lot more points at the end of level 1 than I usually do. Do you get a bonus based on lives, or time, or something? _________________ Hey, you. Dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank. Cosy in there? |

Minor improvement today:
32,050
BTW, will there be a screen which informs when you reach level 2? Guess I haven't got that far yet. |

You'll notice the different (bigger) boss, as well as a loading break
Btw. how long are we allowed to whore at the level 1 end boss? The first time I managed to destroy it, I spent a pretty long time gathering courage while shooting the tanks & missiles (I seriously thought you had to dart in between the main cannon's shots, until I realized it was easier)
EDIT: On to level 3... 103,650

Don´t you pick up always the B (bonus) power-up? It makes big difference
for scoring, and picking up the others will not help much as you lose
them when you die... |

Ok, quick fix time then:
No score whoring on the end of level bosses.
Note that after you've killed the two shoulder guns, if you position yourself just right, you can shoot the laser withought being shot yourself even if you only have the basic weapon. _________________

Naah, me, I always pick up the V if I haven't got it, you can't put a price on the extra security that a wider angle of fire gives you...
Onwards to level 3! (How many levels are there?)
97,950
I might even prefer this to the amiga version, you know, it's... more concentrated. There seems to be more moving stuff you can't shoot; I don't remember those circling bullets on level 1 on the Amiga version, for example.
The toughest part of the game I've found so far is the section between the two giant Goose Copters on level 1. It's not the sort of place you can wing your way through, I've taken the trouble of learning a specific route through it and it's helped me out a lot. _________________

The Amiga version is probably one of the best games ever released on Amiga. The C64 comes pretty close, the action is more furious in the C64 vesion. But the Amiga version has tons of character and atmosphere.
And you are right, those circling mines (or whatever they are) don't shoot bullets in the Amiga version, and they are destructible. _________________

26.800 My first Heli score. Definitively it's easiest with Heli (well, easy easy, no... it's less hard ).
I want to get level 2 too. I think I'm near...
