I'm not impressed with this score, two falls and a jerky movement:

3.3

Think this might be the best I've done in skating.

You have to slow down a little before the curves. Wink
I also crashed some twenty times before I finally got all the way down and got this score: 852!. Cool

The instructions are a bit vague for this event.

Basically to start move the joystick up or use your up key and keep moving it up to gain speed. Move left or right and avoid the trees. Press fire to jump over logs. Make it to the end noted by a brown or grayish line.

Got to the finish line with this score after about 10 tries.

I didn't have the time to fight with this game. Busy time of year (for those of you who don't know, I'm a Lutheran pastor when I'm not busy gaming...) so I just haven't had the chance. But suffice it to say I've been playing this for years and have NEVER finished the downhill, so my chances weren't good anyway.

It was possible to get down with full speed..!!!
Don´t ask how, cause I don´t know how I did it.
I guess I was just lucky to turn at the right time. Very Happy
It looked like I was going through some trees.. Wink
901 !!!

ps. Can I get 10 points for this goldmedal?? Wink

Oh, I missed last skating event because I was busy and now I have played Down Hill and I don't like it, it's worst event, in my opinion, so I will concentrate in the SWIV compo and the Bobsleight event, hoping I can get there my first medal.

*eh hem* due to bad weather in the area anyone who wishes to play the downhill event may do so if previous players have no problem with it. But the entire compo will still end on the first. Wink

I have a little somthing in mind for a closing ceremony for everyone and for the 3 finalist. So I just need to know which country everyone would officially like to represent. It doesn't have to be one of the winter game countries it could be your own if you'd like. Just let me know by post, pm, email or however you like.

Sorry about the score delays, (been caught up in Syberia 2, the movies and SWIV) updated scores should be posted by the time you read this.

Good luck everyone in the bobsled!

Alright, first try at Bobsled: 22.25 (OK, so my first try was 72 runs--3 runs of 8 players, 3 times through!)

How on earth do you get below 22 seconds? Or is this one of those PAL-advantages?

Nope, it's not a PAL advantage, it's years of practice (I've seen lower times than that, even on the DTV joystick... mostly from my brother Chris Razz )

I seem to be stuck at about 22.3 seconds for an average run.

I take the first few corners high then try to run a lower track. Can't get to full speed though, always just shy. Any tips/pointers?

It's just learning the rhythm - you need to take the first couple of corners "high" to gain speed.

I don't think I've ever got full speed.
