You can find the reviewer's e-mail below each review, specifically for giving feedback. There is no need arguing in public everytime one reads a review he doesn't fancy. I welcome constructive criticism but I have a problem with the Dark Prince cause he's needlessly aggressive. _________________ |

I don't know about TDP, but I was joking. You are a talented writer, I like your reviews and almost always agree with them
Same goes with The Dark Prince. I've read all his rantings on his website and really dig his style. Looking forward to reading some game reviews done by him. _________________

I have no problem with people slagging off games that I fancy, it's when they do it with so many mistakes that annoys me. _________________ |

Well I've already bashed one of his favourite games (Mama Llama) and survived...
This is a complicated topic. In my opinion as long as a review contains just facts and is based on logic, not on personal opinion and nostalgia, it is a good read review. The email address under the review page is where the costructive criticism should go to.
How about starting a 'Flame the reviewers' thread? _________________

See, the thing is right...I've never actually played Mama Llama, but I agree with shteevs slightly crazy notion of playing it in compo to see what there is to it. I also made an agreement with shteev that neither of us would play it until it was in competition, to make the compo more interesting... So, I am in no position to criticise your review I'm afraid.

I've never been wrong in my entire life, EVER. Anything you read to the contrary is just filthy lies. _________________

Hahaha, sorry DP but there weren't "so many" mistakes. Anyway, there's a newly edited Spindizzy review up at the moment, since that was the root of all evil and everything. I'm sure you'll love it. _________________

I think you missed the point of my criticism Roger. There were factual errors which you have changed, a nice gesture, but the problem was deeper than that. The problem was that you wrote a review with so many errors that you weren't aware of and this suggested that you didn't really know the game well enough to review it, so for me, the review still feels wrong.
However, the edited review standing alone is fair enough although I disagree with it very strongly.
P.S. I can't see how you can give anarchy a higher score than TRAZ when the blatant unfairness factor is pretty much equal in both of them (perhaps slightly higher in TRAZ, but at least losing a life isn't as catastrophic as it is in Anarchy), but I'm leaving it at that because it seems you're going to write a damning review for every game that gets played in competition that you don't get into and this will continue to flair up each time. _________________ |

You sycophant . I completed Spindizzy, even if it was in cheat mode (infinite time). Now how many have done this ? Not too many I tell you. Just cause you missed the joke about having limited time for unknown reasons, and the ambiguous diagonals mention, it doesn't mean the review was full of errors.
I take full responsibility about neglecting to mention that you get extra time when entering a new screen though. See ? I acknowledge my mistakes.
Here's the deal with Traz. After the 2nd week in the compo, it became a chore to play. And don't forget I had the 3rd best score. Anarchy on the other hand is always fun. _________________ |

I'm going to ignore the infinite time thing, because it's been countered before and not by me.
I found anarchy a total pain in the arse to play from the beginning because honestly it's not my style of game. The sound is truly painful (that bloody zap sound that the blue and yellow blocks makes just hurts), and the fact that dying makes you have to do an entire level again really makes tricky levels extremely tedious (on 16 this is brutal since I had triangle lives, not 9, not whatever symbol comes next, but triangle, I didn't lose a life on any other level).
I have completed it, and I can't find the joy in it whatsoever, the puzzle aspect is very limited (beyond figuring out how the trackers actually work which I'll admit is one very snazzy piece of programming), and most levels rely on a combination of luck (particularly 16 and that one where you start in a closed space, think it might be 14, can't remember), so your claim that anarchy is always fun is very very wrong. I didn't review anarchy for this very reason, it's not my style I could never explain what is so wonderful about it because I don't find anything wonderful about it. _________________ |
