I loathe this game with a red hot, firey hatred I've not felt since I played Top Gun.

I'm actually beginning to really like this game
First Compo score: 9300
EDIT: Strange, I can't seem to post the screenshot. Here's the link

Just wondering, I noticed there are 3 different types of boxes on level 1. One gives bombs, the other flashshots, and the other gives 500 points but what is it?[/img] _________________ Are you on the same island as I am? |

The "other" box is just bonus points. _________________ |

Yes, each one gives 500 points. But i think he meant what the box is supposed to be. I don't know it either. On level 3 though you are pickicng up masks though which i recon are surely worth their 500 points of sold in the RD2 universe... |

Some tips I have discovered:
1- Time is important (Oh No! more H.E.R.O.!). Entering determinated screens you will get points (for example, the 5th screen in level 1, counting the bonus screen). You will get more points if you reach the screen as soon as possible.
2- Killing Bad Guys:
- Shooting them: 50 points.
- Blasting them: 100 points.
- Killing them with a trap: 150 points.
Be careful... using too many bombs when killing people could be a disaster because you could need them later...
And sometimes I hear sounds, reaching determinated screens (Maybe it could have a relationship with point 1, but I'm not sure).
It's time to play! _________________ They said me "This program works only on Windows 7 or higher" so I used it on my Commodore 64 |

Did you take the left or roght way on level2 Shteev? I tried the left way last night. It seems to be longer (more points) and easier (yay!). |

Ah, level 3. Straight up at the start is definately easier and seems longer. _________________

quote="shteev"]I was going to start posting scores for individual levels, but I gave up on that cos scrabbling around for a paper and pencil invariably makes me lose a life at the start of level 2.
I occasionally lose a life here without needing a paper and pencil help
In level 3, I find 4 ways:
(the - separates screens).
- Up
- Right - Up (I'm not sure about it).
- Right - Right - Up
- Right - Right - Right - Right - Up
http://www.deconstruction.f9.c...ov_map.htm
And what about the 2 ways in the 4th level? When you're falling before the 2 robots (near the beginning), you could reach a passage in the middle, instead of falling down until the bottom of the screen.
I think you can earn more points in the middle way, but I find it more difficult. What do you think?

EDIT: Current score: 25.150

So we've never gotten an official version? Sort of funny after the HERO version debate of last month.
