Anybody want pokes for any C64 games.....I'm feeling a bit nostalgic? Got a little bit of spare time this weekend, so if there's a game that you could never finish and there's no pokes or trainers available for it. Then please post the game title (and url - in case the version I have differs) and I'll see what I can do. Please though no games which take hours/manuals to learn how to play or games which are not really suited to cheating .......I haven't got that much time...

If you want specific cheats post what you want, eg Invincibility, energy.
or anything you can think of (lives are not a challenge though..)

Just post in this thread.... I'll try and fill all the requests (they'll be in standard poke format - suitable for use with an Action Replay or similar device - CCS64 and VICE support it).

Green Beret : stop sprite collisions

Would be very much appreciated as Winvice and Frodo won't do it.

I did Green Beret a few years ago, when I had a previous bout of nostalgia....for another request (in fact they are still up at my old requested pokes page on arnold :- http://arnold.c64.org/index/c64poke2.htm ). You can make it as easy as you want... You didn't say which version or give me a url...so if these don't work use the version on RIK 66. As you can see from the comment at the bottom I did these cheats before the emulators added programming cartridge support......strewth I was a visionary! ;-)

GREEN BERET (IMAGINE)
You can enter these pokes two ways - use the version on RIK 66 or use a reset switch/MC monitor.

Rik 66 method:
LOAD"GREENBERET1",8,1 [RETURN] this will load the game into memory without auto-running it, in CCS64 v1.07 you can just load it as normal. Now enter these pokes:-
POKE 6908,173 [RETURN] for infinite lives
POKE 7355,173 [RETURN] for infinite weapon use
POKE 4673,110:POKE 4675,240 [RETURN] for invincibility in hand to hand combat
POKE 48982,3 [RETURN] for invincibility to bullets and such like
POKE 16151,96 [RETURN] for invincibility to land mines
POKE 49061,0 [RETURN] for invincibility to the guard dogs
RUN [RETURN]

Reset method:
Reset the game and enter these
POKE 5429,173 [RETURN] for infinite lives
POKE 5875,173 [RETURN] for infinite weapon use
POKE 3085,110:POKE 3087,240 [RETURN] for invincibility in hand to hand combat
POKE 64775,3 [RETURN] for invincibility to bullets and such like
POKE 15478,96 [RETURN] for invincibility to land mines
POKE 64863,0 [RETURN] for invincibility to the guard dogs
Because there is no sys no. available these pokes are best used via a hacking utility like an Action Replay or Expert cartridge - hopefully one of the mainstream emulators will emulate these soon?

Or play the REM version which features 4 trainers... invincibility trainer (collision) is included. Smile

If you want it, just follow the WWW button below...

Try these for size - I made these when the game was originally released, I don't recall if Infinite Shields is a valid replacement for Invincibility so if it's not gimme a shout here and I'll knock you one up....somebody may point you to a trainer version in the meantime anyway..

Code:
Head Over Heels (Ocean)

Infinite Lives                     Poke 31386,0

Infinite Shields - Heels           Poke 37345,0

Infinite Shields - Head            Poke 37352,0

If they don't work and/or you need more pokes then please tell me which version you are using and the url where it can be found. You can use my old C64 index pages at arnold http://arnold.c64.org/index to help find a working link (most of the links to the Italian Arnold mirroe should still work though)
