Well, after seeing that the idea it's quite accepted, and accepting some recomendations, let's make a official thread Smile

Please, any moderator, can close the other thread, please? Smile Thanks

A new poll it's posted, trying to give a wider branch of possibilities of games to play... and some official rules... Let's see...

The rules will be made on this thread... Every player make a proposal for a rule, or second one rule proposed by other player, and that way we will get a good compedium of rules to play... My proposals are:

1) RULE 1: Each player must post a Snapshot of his TOTAL SCORE before the end of the compo, for the TOTAL SCORE PODIUM, wich will determine who's the winner of the Commodolympics.

2) RULE 2: Each player may post a Snapshot of every record he did on each event, for the EVENT MEDALS PODIUM, wich will determine the best electro-athlete of each Event...

3) RULE 3: No cheats allowed

One proposal will be accepted if more than the half of the players second it.

END OF THE POLL AND START OF THE COMPO: 1st August

PS - Hope everybody it's happy with this new thread Razz

I've voted for Hypersports only, even though I have to admit I was tempted by Summer Games I + II. But in that case we should decide a different scoring method. We could chose the events to compete in (we can also perform a complete olympiad by selecting all of them) and post the personal record for each event.
I think the scoring method of Hpersports/decathlon is much simpler, so I think we can go with it.

I think most people probably go for Hypersports, as it probably might have been mighty popular. Smile Or then again, maybe we load it in to listen to all the cool music, such as not only the Ocean Loader theme, but the rendition of Chariots of Fire Smile

I voted for Summer games... cause the summer games are soon here!! Smile
And Summer games does not require all this joystick waggling that is needed in Decathlon and Hypersports. If I want to compete in such events I want to use my TAC-2!!

I voted summer games because these are the only multi-events that I have played.

OK, my ideas about Summer Games:

First we choose how many events and which of them. We can decide to compete in a single event for a certain number of days. For instance, the first week we play High Jump, the second Skeet shooting, and so on. At the end of the tournament we count the medals giving points for each of them, as in the real summer Gamnes (say, 5 points for gold, 3 for silver and 1 for bronze), and so we have the final standings.

I voted for Summer Games.

I'd prefer the 2nd set of rules. I like the idea of having a Lemon record for each event in Summer Games.

Oh, and no cheats, of course...

well, Im not very friend of time schedules, but of course Ill accept the result, whatever it is Smile

One problem... I only want to do a one month compo (+ - the days the olympiads period) If we play one event each week... well, I think every Summer Games have 6 or 7 events, dont they? It will be 15 weeks of compo... Too much Crying or Very sad Same on any of the Decathlons + Hypersports... Also on Hypersports, it has a lot of events...

That's why I suggested one event each day of the olympics. That way you could have 20 or so events. Nobody I think would be able to join all of them, but you could set a limit of max. 12 events per player. Just an idea.....

This would work so much better as a multiplayer competition.

Seems it's hard to say "I like this rule" or "I like this other" xDDD, so, we'll do this ...

If Summer Games I and II wins, we'll take the Hannibal idea, with a calendar of events, and a score method like the one said by Kusarigama.

If Hypersports wins, we'll take my score method...

After seeing Hypersports more times... I hope Summer Games I and II wins Razz

Much more fun to play the Summer Games games (that sounded odd!), as the control methods are much better than just waggling (alright, with a couple of exceptions).

I'd also vote to avoid the athletics events.

*merman gets a light bulb over his head as he gets another idea*

How about a Decathlon WEEKEND, playing the events in order just like the real competitors?

Shall we start? Seems nobody will vote more...

I have an idea about the tie... What about to play Summer Games I and II (2 days per each event) and Hypersports at the end of the month? We could take the Hypersport sub-competition as a real Decathlon week, and each player must decide if he focus on Summer Games medal hunt, Hypersports score compo, or both !!!!

If we start this weekend, we can make a schedule of events long enough to play without hurry every event...

Let's take a decision until tomorrow, and Ill post the official compo thread on Saturday evening Smile

Well, all mounted HERE

PLEASE, ANY COMMENTS, ON THIS THREAD Wink

I have mixed both SUMMER GAMES, joining the athletics events on the same week, and dismiss some events (5 in total) for schedule issues (if I include all, we havent enough time to play the electro-decathlon with enough days...)

Thanks! And Good Luck to all!

Where is my favourite: Gymnastics? Crying or Very sad

Anyways, nice work Dany!

Is the Hypersport medals counting in the overall or is it a "stand-alone"?

I go for Summer Games. I had the most fun with those games in the past. (and I am pretty good at them as well, especially the kanoe and horse rides events)
