1) Ikari Warriors:
because I completed the game for the first time, there was a lot of compo, and I won
2) Buggy Boy:
pick up and play, very close compo, real fun
3) Armalyte:
I even got close to beating shteev on a shoot'em up
4) Bubble Bobble:
one of the few games I would again do a compo on anyday.
5) Rainbow Islands:
shame I didn't have much time on this one, it's a wonderful game. _________________ My top games: 1.Hawkeye, 2.Uridium, 3.Creatures II, 4.Delta, 5.Bubble Bobble, 6.Ikari Warriors, 7.Armalyte, 8.Bionic Commando, 9.Archon, 10.Buggy Boy. |

BTW my _least_ favourite would be:
David's Midnight Magic, closely followed by Ghosts'n'Goblins and Wizard of Wor. _________________ My top games: 1.Hawkeye, 2.Uridium, 3.Creatures II, 4.Delta, 5.Bubble Bobble, 6.Ikari Warriors, 7.Armalyte, 8.Bionic Commando, 9.Archon, 10.Buggy Boy. |

Favourite compos:
Armalyte, because i had never beaten the game on my own before. In the compo i did, three times! One of the best C64 games and shoot em ups of all time.
Rainbow Islands, because i got farther than i ever did and because i learned a lot of things i didnt know before about the game. And because i won that round of the compo of course
Paradroid, because it also is one of my favourite games and i had never completed a ship before. One day i will try to complete this bugger (made it to third ship in the compo).
Thrust, because it is a prime example of the "gameplay is everything" saying and it is a real challenge!
Least favourite compos:
Midnight Magic: Too much luck and frustration involved
Wizard of Wor: Has some early 80ies charme and sure if a fine 2 player game but never really enjoyed it.
Wonderboy in Monsterland: Too boring and too easy, nor my favourite genre. |

Favourite compos:
Ghosts 'n Goblins (best result)
Paradroid (addictive to just have one more go)
Least favourite compo:
David's Midnight Magic. I loved this game right up to the compo, and then I started detesting it. Haven't touched it since |

Buggy Boy: Because I won it but didn't really expect to. Kudos to SLF, Toggle and Genrex for pushing me and the game to its limits.
Bubble Bobble: Although i was nowhere near the top this is again a game in which you could improve each time you play, but the challenge factor is there.
Paradroid: I started liking a game that I previously thought was way overated.
Rodland: I wish we had a longer deadline than I guess I could have finished it. _________________ | Stingray wrote: | | So no one understands exactly how the C64 works as it is reversed engineered Alien technology via the Nazi Vrill project, Project Paper Clip and the TOI project. |

I had fun in playing Wizard of Wor. I obtained my better placement in that compo.
Then, special mention to David's Midnight Magic, Ghost'n'Goblins, IK+.
The real surprise was.... Thrust !
(good surprise, of course. really good. I never played it before the compo).

The round I placed best was Leaderboard, but the one I enjoyed most was Rainbow Islands.
The round I hated was Thrust, but I think Iridis Alpha is gonna replace it. _________________ |

My three best...
1. Paradroid
But of course! Just about my favourite game ever, and er... I won
One day I really must try and complete it, or even beat ship 6!
2. Armalyte
I like a good shooter, and I'd never finished it before. I had loads of time to play it, and enjoyed every second of this comp.
3. David's Midnight Magic
What a surprise I had with this one. This was my very first comp, it was great to join in with something, and it was a game I'd never played before but found very addictive!
And my least favourite...
Wonderboy in Monsterland.
I wished I'd had more time for this one, then I might have gotten into it better, as a result I found it a tad boring. _________________ |

Faves: Ikari Warrior and Armalyte, cos I played them through to completion for the first time. And IK+ cos it gives you a monster adrenaline rush.
Least Favorite: I went off Gyruss, and got a bit bored of Dropzone, but nothing compares to the utter loathing I acquired for Ghosts'n'Goblins. Ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh. Get MAME and play the arcade version, for theaveng's sake. _________________ Hey, you. Dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank. Cosy in there? |

I have to say leader board golf. I think if I transferred them and played on my 128, I'd probably like the whole thing a lot more but on VICE, Leader Board was the most fun for me. _________________ Emulation is the sincerest form of flattery. |

Hmm, so far it's a close run thing between Ikari Warriors and Wonderboy... The competition encouraged me to play WIM seriously, but Ikari was a lot of fun _________________ |
