OK SLF I'll support you on this one. It would only be appropriate to finish off with a platformer and regardless off the fact that i haven't played Rainbow Islands too much in my life time.
1. Rainbow Islands
2. Nebulus
3. Internationl Karate +
4. Mr. Do
5. Bomb Jack
<double check to see if any SHMUPS have infiltrated.> Right that'll be it then.

 My list has been heavily infiltrated by shmups no matter how hard I watched out
I just chose 5 games I would like to play, as all of my (little) playing time goes in the Lemon chosen game in this period.
Rainbow Islands would be a great choice imo, it's challenging, it's full of different bonuses and it's fun like hell. I'm afraid that shteev's played the Amiga version to death, though _________________

Let's see if I can motivate myself to start practising on Rainbow island which is, just like with Dropzone, a game I never played. And I could not arse myself to play Dropzone and send in a score. |

Hm, let's see. I see a lot of frustration coming up with Rainbow Island even though it is a great game. Just 1 credit, yay...
Here is my vote:
1. Thrust
2. Morpheus
3. Camel Trophy
4. Save New York
5. Hunter Patrol |

I see... Well, in the past my best on one credit was to get to the last stage of Island 5 (Doh's island), so I guess our skills are pretty similar on this. Yep, it can be very frustrating to lose the nth stupid life on, for instance, monster island, but the game's still so much fun in my opinion... _________________ My top games: 1.Hawkeye, 2.Uridium, 3.Creatures II, 4.Delta, 5.Bubble Bobble, 6.Ikari Warriors, 7.Armalyte, 8.Bionic Commando, 9.Archon, 10.Buggy Boy. |

a quick look at the top standings:
rainbow islands 34
IK+ 13
Ghost'n ghouls 10
Green Beret 10
Nebulus 10
Pooyan 10
Thrust 10
Hawkeye 8
Burnin Rubber 5
Metrocross 5
Zolyx 5
So we have a pretty close race here I think we might have to revote.
C'mon people! We can still turn the tide!
I would rather play any of the above mentioned games (except Poyan). Having tried the amgia version makes the c64 version feel like...like...something better untouched. |

As a matter of interest, does RI end when you complete it, or does it wrap around to level 1? Anyone know? Might be nice, for a change, to play for maximised points on a game with a definite end (one of the reasons I've been voting, on and off, for Split Personalities)
I too would rather play the Amiga version, but the C64 seems to do it perfectly playably, so Game On! Or Goal In! Or Shine Get! Or whatever _________________

Imo the c64 version is simply great, but I haven't played the Amiga version enough to compare them.
If you get the bad ending (you don't get all the gems in all the islands) the game warps IIRC.
If you get the proper ending, it doesn't. Or am I wrong?
We could set the rule that you're not allowed to continue playing after completion, neither way you've done it. I would agree on the point, even if it is a bit of a useless rule for me: I don't think I'll ever get to complete the game on 1 credit!
I'd suggest to play the original version which is downloadable at Arnold's (Happy Days anyone? Sorry). That is, if the tide isn't turned around... _________________
